About this bed and breakfast
Tikehau is a paradise atoll in the Tuamotu archipelago, 55 minutes by plane from Papeete, the capital of French Polynesia. An atoll is a type of low coral island found in tropical oceans. Atolls consist of a reef or coral barrier and several small islands called motus.
Tikehau offers its visitors a true natural swimming pool, superb white and pink sand beaches stretching as far as the eye can see, a crystal-clear lagoon with a multitude of tropical fish species. Marine life there is very rich and promises nature lovers beautiful spectacles.
The island is populated by approximately 500 people, the inhabitants call it "the home of a peaceful world." The population lives essentially from fishing and copra. Tikehau is one of the most sought-after atolls in Polynesia for relaxation, a change of scenery, diving, fishing, discovery of natural Jacuzzis called "Feo," walks on the motus, visits to the picturesque and colorful village of Tuherahera and the "bird island" where rare species nest.
You will stay in an individual Polynesian bungalow, consisting of a bedroom that can accommodate up to 5 people, a bathroom with hot water, and a private terrace with a view of the beach and the lagoon. Breakfast and dinner are provided by your host. You will enjoy seafood products, seasonal tropical fruits, and traditional Tahitian recipes, such as the must-try raw fish in coconut milk.
The beach will be your favorite place! Take advantage of relaxation areas specially designed with deck chairs, explore the lagoon snorkeling or with the kayaks at your disposal, and fully experience the "House of the Peaceful World" of this atoll where time seems to have stopped!
