The house was perfect for our two families. So much space, the house and property were beautiful. We will definitely stay again. My only thing was we arrived an hour early and called property management both when we knew two hours prior that we'd arrive sooner and when we got there. There was no ability/ flexibility to let us in early after our five hour drive even though the house was clearly ready and even though you receive texts alluding that early check in may be available but they'll let you know. Other than that, we loved loved loved this stay!

The house and property were beautiful. The perfect winter Vermont weekend getaway we were looking for. Sledding for the kids and wood stove to keep cozy by. A couple of issues we had were two smoke detectors chirping low battery as soon as we arrived, and while the house did seem clean, there was evidence of rodent nesting in the kitchen. Vacasa quickly offered to come out. I recommend that VRBO indicate 4WD required in winter. This was not indicated on the VRBO website and we didn't see that this was recommended until after we booked the property. One group in our party was unable to leave the property (a very long uphill driveway/unpaved road) and we needed to get towed which made for a stressful end to the otherwise lovely stay.

Beautiful property, lovely and fascinating home; but the property management company is utterly ineffectual if a problem arises. In this case: plumbing issues that warranted an ASAP response (dishwasher that powered off, sink drain that gurgled and spat up). As of the end of our stay, no one on the 'local team' had reached out - nor had a plumber made a service call. There were other issues, but minor in comparison (e.g. smoke detectors chirping at 6AM with no replacement batteries to be found, excessively skimpy basic supplies, etc.). We are writing this hoping the owner will see the review and follow up with Vacasa.
