Runnin' Down A Dream is the southernmost home in Nags Head, situated in the all-residential Colony South subdivision and backing up onto National Park Service land for ultimate seclusion and natural surroundings. A reverse floorplan means you'll enjoy views of the ocean, sound, marsh and spectacular sunsets from the top-level great room. Original pine paneling preserves the warmth and coastal character of this classic Nags Head style home, while the open-concept layout makes the space feel bright, airy and ideal for gathering. In addition to a sunroom for indoor/outdoor living, two levels of wrap-around decks provide plenty of room for soaking up the Vitamin D, relaxing in the shade, or simply breathing in the salty ocean air. We loved this rental. It was perfect for our family, including my older dog. The deck had views of the water and the house offered a nice grassy areas for our dog. The home was clean and very comfortable. I loved having an outdoor shower, esp for my 4-year-old who literally rolls in the sand when at the beach. We will likely return!

We really love this place. Our only complaint was the master with its own bathroom had huge furniture in it so it was hard to move around the room. The condition of the house was good but could use a little TLC updating. All the bedrooms in general were kindly of small. View a few ocean from the front deck, and the sound from the back deck with Bodie is light in the distance. It was wonderful to have the national seashore start at our backyard, quite beautiful!
Will consider staying there again!
