About this apartment rental
A vacation for two on the Costa del Sol—whether you’re looking for a city break, a beach getaway, or a golfing vacation—this is the perfect place to relax and enjoy yourself. If you’re searching for a quiet vacation rental nestled within a residential complex featuring Andalusian-style architecture, spacious tropical gardens, and several swimming pools, then our apartment is ideal for you.
The spacious apartment is located on the second floor of a three-story building at the end of the hallway and features bright, elegant furnishings, marble floors in all rooms and the fully equipped bathroom, air conditioning, Wi-Fi, and an alarm system. The building has a camera-monitored entrance area, underground parking, and an elevator.
Through the front door, you enter the living and dining area, which features a large blue leather couch, an internet radio, and a flat-screen TV, as well as a designer dining table with a glass top and comfortable chairs. We have furnished our apartment—which we use ourselves—with great attention to detail. This includes Flemish cabinets made of solid, light oak and lamps and ceiling lights handmade in Granada with multicolored glass inserts. The paintings were purchased from artist friends.
The apartment features a total of 3 terraces. Through the large sliding glass door in the living room, you can step out onto the spacious, covered terrace with breathtaking views of the sea, the golf course, the town of La Cala, and—on clear days—the peaks of Granada’s Sierra Nevada in the distance.
Enjoy the unique views from the comfortable lounge furniture—for example, in the evening with a glass of wine and the moonlight over the sea, or in the morning with a cup of coffee.
The fully equipped kitchen, featuring a ceramic cooktop, dishwasher, washing machine, electric kettle, coffee maker, and more, has its own terrace surrounded by palm fronds, complete with a granite table and two high-backed chairs. From here, you have a magnificent view of the hinterland.
Adjacent to the living and dining area, a hallway on the left leads to the bedroom with a king-size bed, a large built-in closet, and its own covered terrace with a beautiful view of the ocean and the golf course. The en-suite bathroom, with marble floors and walls, has natural light and a bathtub with a shower function (rain shower).
To the right in the hallway is another room with access to the main terrace. Here, you can retreat, work on your laptop, or read a book. A small library with novels and travel guides, as well as brochures about La Cala and the surrounding area, is available to you in the “gentleman’s cabinet,” an heirloom.
If you’re in the mood for a relaxing day by the pool, no problem. The residential complex features several pools, adjacent lawns with lounge chairs, umbrellas, showers, and restrooms. One of the pools is located just a few meters from the building. Spacious, tropical gardens throughout the entire complex invite you to take a stroll.
Directly across from the complex is one of the Costa del Sol’s most popular golf courses, complete with a clubhouse and an exquisite restaurant.
The coastal town of LA CALA DE MIJAS has retained its Andalusian charm. Discover the town’s attractions, including the former defense tower, the diverse culinary scene, the magnificent beaches, and the Senda Litoral (coastal hiking trail).
The surrounding area also has so much beauty to offer:
MIJAS Pueblo is located about 20 minutes away in the mountains and invites you to take a stroll through its picturesque old town with views of the coast.
Just a few kilometers from La Cala de Mijas lies MARBELLA. The mountains in the background, rising over 1,200 meters high, provide a magnificent backdrop. It’s well worth exploring the somewhat hidden old town, which is full of character.
You can reach the MÁLAGA airport in about 20 minutes via the highway, and the city of Málaga in about 30 minutes. Here, too, it’s worth strolling through the old town, taking a leisurely walk along the magnificent Paseo del Parque with its palm trees and flowers, or watching a cruise ship at the Muelle Uno pier. You can climb the Moorish citadel, Gibralfaro, and be rewarded with a magnificent view. Málaga is also a city with exciting museums: the Picasso Museum, the Centre Pompidou (not just in Paris), the Carmen Thyssen Museum, the Centro de Arte Contemporáneo, and others.
