Blu Vesuvius Sorrento

This place was an absolute paradise! Unbelievable views, peace and quiet, and exceptional hospitality. Perks included free breakfast, a complimentary shuttle, and a hot tub with stunning views. Our host took care of dinner recommendations and reservations every day and also helped coordinate ferry times. They were extremely attentive and incredibly kind. The place had everything we needed—from soft blankets and slippers to coffee, hot tea, and views we will never forget. The entire stay felt like a dream. We will definitely be back and highly recommend staying here!

I can’t say enough good things about this property and family who owns and runs it. The entire place is beautiful. Exquisite views, beautiful yard, deck and grounds, super comfortable, attractive and well appointed interior. This place has everything you need to feel at home in a luxury setting. The owners are super responsive, eager and willing to get anything you need, take you where you need to go and are ready with fabulous restaurant recommendations and make reservations for you. They even gave us some of their homemade limoncello! We stayed 3 nights and I wish we could have stayed longer.

The property is a small drive out of town, a price you pay for the amazing views and peace and quiet. They will shuttle you into town and back once a day, complementary if you don’t have a car. We never needed more than the one shuttle into town and back. So it’s something to be aware of, but it’s a welcomed trade off to get away from crowds and noise and have the spectacular view. Plus you get to know the family, who are wonderful people.

From the moment Francesco greeted us and took our luggage into our apartment, we knew we'd chosen well! We'd made this choice because of the views, the veranda, the tasteful decor and the location away from the busy tourist centre. Not only did the place look like it did in the ad, but was even more spacious, inside and out! Two bathrooms, two bedrooms (1 a single), a well kitted out kitchen with continental style breakfast ready to hand, milk and Prosecco chilling in the fridge. Views over The Bay of Naples with Vesuvius watching over us ... spectacular and ever changing. Who needs a TV? However, there was a TV and it worked, as did everything, especially the ice maker! It was all so clean and fresh; tastefully decorated and maintained. The outdoor space went on for ever, with a different area for each activity - reading, eating, sunbathing, cooling off in the 'hot' tub, snoozing in the hammock - and so much colour with all the beautiful Mediterranean flowers! We were there for 10 days so we had a cleaner come and change all the towels and bedding, and top up the breakfasts, and the bed and pillows were so comfy - slept like a log. But it is the family themselves that made it so special, with little personal touches. They live above the property, although you wouldn't know it. We were greeted one afternoon with a home grown/made Limoncello, which is exactly what you need after a hard days sunbathing! It was delicious, and we were given a bottle to take home with us! The biggest surprise was learning that we could get a return trip to Sorrento everyday if we wanted it, from one of the family! We sometimes walked down into Sorrento - stunning new views around every corner - and braved the local bus back up into the hills which was a hoot. And when we did request their shuttle, they were reliable and safe - just what you need after a busy day's excursion.

Having to leave! Not meeting Adriano, as he was working away, and yet the WhatsApp communications were always promptly received and returned. Not making the best use of all their contacts for excursions and restaurants, because we'd planned them all before we arrived!

Blu Vesuvius is a gem of a place with outstanding views over the Bay of Naples overlooking Mount Vesuvius and with wonderful facilities including a ‘hot tub’ which is actually chilled to cool you off in the summer heat. A beautiful selection of breakfast items and adorable touches like freshly picked tomatoes and lemons and a bit of sparkling wine chilled for your arrival and a very thoughtful bottle of homemade limoncello on our departure. The terrace is deceptively big with 4 different areas to relax including the ‘hot tub’ area, the lounger area, the beautiful dining table area perfect for breakfast or an evening meal and the outdoor couch chill out area - the expansive views are second to none. Powerful showers. The beds were incredibly comfortable and no request was too much - the hosts were always happy to answer any questions, replenish products, attentively check-in on our needs over our stay and arranged our airport transport. The location is just outside Sorrento up the mountain and a short bus ride into the city centre for €2 with regular pick ups and drop offs outside of the accommodation. The property was also incredibly clean with crisp bedding and the ‘hot tub’ was regularly cleaned throughout our stay to keep it fresh. The air conditioning was also a welcome relief!

Maybe an additional comfy chair in the lounge in addition to the couch so that all members can cosy up for a night in as although the couch is a good size, it is a bit squishy to comfortably watch TV together as a group of three.
