The stay was good, and the hotel was clean with spacious rooms; however, the entrance was through the adjacent Aloft hotel meaning there was no dedicated reception area for guests. This was inconvenient, as one had to leave the Element hotel and enter the Aloft to have breakfast or visit the front desk. This arrangement negatively impacted room service requests, as obtaining anything took a long time sometimes over an hour. Overall, the staff were pleasant and did their best to meet our needs.

Much of the building is falling into disrepair. The property entrance and the pool/pub area are in serious need of refurbishment. The lack of upkeep is also noticed in the condition of the carpets in our suite, which would benefit from a deep cleaning.
