    The Great: * Graciousness around late check out. * The cleaning staff. Tracy was warm and helpful always. * The bedding was very comfortable. * The director of operations made me feel welcome in the chinese restaurant, along with Rex and the food and beverage manager. These and my interactions with Wendy at the buffet entrance and Oliver at reception were the highlights. * The buffet price is very good and several times the staff made vegetarian dishes for me when they did not have options in the buffet. To improve: * Vegetarian menu and more options for vegetarian in the buffet. * I showed Oliver a rubber sticker to stop the noise from doors closing waking me up. I did not see action on that suggestion so an otherwise quiet hotel is noisy because of loud wooden doors that can be silenced by a cheap rubber sticker delivered by any of the delivery apps and instantly protecting all doors and restoring peace.

    Great location near Shenzhen Airport, especially convenient for an overnight or transit stay. The room was clean and modern, and the bed was very comfortable.

    Exceptional: * The food and beverage manager personally walked me to a local dumpling restaurant where I could get vegetarian dumplings. * Wendy, at the buffet restaurant, and another young man (Ting?) made sure that I got some vegetarian items in the buffet and helped translate for me. * The rooms/appartments on the garden side have very good sound insulation. * The woman cleaning the appartment is so nice to interact with. * They have a fairly hot sauna and good gym facilities. * The windows open, allowing for fresh air. * Bed and bedding is very comfortable. * Another woman was incredibly kind in the Chinese restaurant, offering me complimentary tea and a desert and making me feel welcome. * Oliver helped me find interesting parks to visit and helped me book on Didi and is nice to talk to in reception. * I have appreciated graciousness around my late check-outs with no extra charge. It's another thing I love about the hotel. Warm staff interactions with about six staff are the highlight of the hotel. OK: * The design style is modern, bland and boring, despite spending a lot of money on it. * The washing machine/dryer took about 12 hours to do one load of laundry (it is fantastic to have it in the room and it washes and dries). * The bath water on the first night was not hot and they fixed that. * Coffee is not that great and is sometimes served warm, not hot. Not good: * On my first night it was not clear where the entrance was and my taxi needed to ask. * There was no one to help with the luggage either out of the taxi or into the room. * The buffet has almost no vegetarian food and very little that is not chinese. Adding even a few things would make a big difference: * Grated carrots, tomato and cucumbers, along with italian dressing would make the salad options good. * Leaving meat and fish out of even a few stews or rice would give some options. * Some Indian food would also expand the flavors, such as vegetable samosas, naan bread and a basic curry. * Not adding any meat to the fried rice.
