It was to cold in tha room. When I as if is possible to provide me an extra heater the lady said its not allowed. There was not hot water. Really bad experience.

Shower dreadful, ran it for five minutes but still only lukewarm water, poor water pressure and lots of black mould on walls. No soap, except in shower, toilet almost impossible to flush. Room too hot to sleep, could not turn off radiator. Bed OK, receptionist polite, friendly and helpful. Probably a grand hotel by standards of 100 years ago, changed little.

You get what you pay for, £40 was a good price for the room. There were stains on the walls and check in is quite late on with only opening at 5pm however the beds were clean as well as the bathroom.

Will never go back there . Won't recommend. Toilet and bedding seemed clean which madr me stay. Upon arrival considered leaving . Old place ,not looked after . Also the terrible smell of yhe place😷😨 . Reception is the bar. Neighborhood

Spent 2 nights at this Hotel, was exploring the area.. room was suitable for my needs, clean and cosy.. the first night was a little noisy with other users slamming doors often banging on each others doors.. bit annoying but thankfully didn’t last long.. second night was quiet and peaceful, would stay at this hotel again

Checking it earlier would have been better we found 5pm a bit late. More details to finishing, room was nice and adequate, but if you were a large couple it would have been very small and decorating was unfinished. But apart from that we enjoyed our stay and would stay again at the right price.

Not being able to book in earlier an get the key,didn't mater about not getting in to the room. I had to leave my venue to book in then go back. Apart from that it was good. For those of you who want 5,star for 2 star money it's not for you,but 3 star for 2 star money ok.

We paid for an early check-in so the key was left for us however the key didn't work in the room door. Staff were fantastic and came straight out and had to change the lock (twice). They were very attentive and apologised profusely. The bed was comfortable but the room needed a good clean. It looked grubby and substandard. The toilet was sandwiches between the bath and wall so had to stand up to clean yourself. Appreciate it was cheap but cleanliness should be a given. Can't fault the staff though, and the location was good.

We booked a twin room as my friend and I were staying for the marathon. We were given a room with a 3/4 bed against a wall which was unsuitable. We were offered the chance of one of us going to another hotel which was not suitable. In the end we had a single mattress on the floor, which worked but not ideal. No offer of a reduced rate for the room.

Had a call before arrival to confirm my booking and approximate time of arrival which was helpful. Room was ok - a little dated and tired but did the job for 1 night. The most disappointing part of my stay was the shower - it was freezing - by the time I encountered the issue, I needed to be out and away in the morning so a cold shower it was… Was cheap. The company swiftly forwarded me an invoice when requested. All that being said, I would stay again if in the area.

Will someone please put this hotel out of its misery by either re developing it or demolishing it? It was once a lovely hotel but is now dire through sheer neglect. The room booked for my husband was damp and musty with sealed windows. It was freezing cold with no control valves to turn the radiators on. The reception is literally boarded up and you have to book in at the bar. There were no towels in the room and upon asking for them at the bar, my husband was told that the young lady there could not get them for him because she was the only member of staff there and could not leave the bar. She had to email head office who would contact someone to get the towels which arrived at 3 hours later at10.30pm. Breakfast is no longer available because there is no demand for it and you are directed to a bakery next door which opens at 9am. It is a shame but we have to say avoid at all costs.

The place is grotty, it houses people on probation and there was no staff around all weekend, the room had bugs and all round cleanliness was shocking

Hotel need further work. Bath had no enamel on shower screen could do with a bleach. No toilet roll or bin in room despite aski g in arrival. 3rd night had a party diwnstairs until 1am with booming music. Felt like i was unside the speaker. After complaining they lowered the volume but still unacceptable given that i get up for work at 5am. Wont be staying again. There are far better options in Boston
