My wife and I really enjoyed our stay at Villa Anfitrite, even though at first impression we were a little skeptical. Maybe we were a bit naive, but we didn't realize how difficult it is to get to most places in Positano, a beautiful town rising from the bay straight up. In the case of Villa Anfitrite, our driver had to drop us off at a bus stop about half-way up the hill, where we were met by hotel staff. who lugged our suitcases and led us up ONE-HUNDRED AND EIGHTY STEPS to our room in the hotel, quite a challenge for someone my age (85). The room itself was quite basic, but in its favor clean and cheerful, Our mood improved considerably when we went out on the balcony and were treated to breath-takingly beautiful views of the town of Positano and its harbor. And as we got to know Simon and the rest of the friendly and helpful hotel staff, our concerns about the hotel rapidly disappeared! And each morning, as we basked on the balcony enjoying our sumptuous made-to-order breakfast, we realized that it was worth every one of those 180 steps!

This is an ideal place to stay in Positano—close to the main area, yet far enough to enjoy some peace and quiet. The accommodation was immaculate, set in a stunning location that offers breathtaking views of Positano. The staff were exceptional and incredibly welcoming; they went above and beyond to make our stay perfect .
Although the accommodation offers absolutely breathtaking views, it’s important to note that there are 170 steps to climb in order to reach it. That said, it wouldn’t stop us from returning, as the experience was truly exceptional. Enjoying breakfast on the balcony, surrounded by such a heavenly setting, was nothing short of magical

Amazing stay, the staff here were so friendly and accommodating. The views from our terrace were the best in Positano. The breakfast served each morning was excellent. Highly recommend!

Everyone was so attentive and helpful. Service was amazing. Happy to answer our questions day or night. Was worth the many many steps up!
The breakfast was amazing. The view and the hot tub outside were also fantastic. Great shower.
The one very, very minor drawback was that the bed sheets were scratchy. ;)
