Stayed in Lanajaron as a stop over on the way to Granada.
Pleasant town with some biking and hiking opportunities and an old Muslim fortress to visit. The hotel has on site free parking and there are good restaurants nearby. The town is known for their spring water with several locations in town to fill up water bottles.

The two best things about Hotel Andalucia are the views (fantastic if you book a room with a view, through the Alpujarras to the sea) and the breakfast (which is probably the best 'free' breakfast I have ever had in Spain - and I've had quite a few). Whether you love the hotel itself depends on your attitude towards older establishments that used to be fairly 'grand', have gone down a bit in the world, but have character - and in this case are being brought back up to standard. The bedrooms show their age a little, but are perfectly comfortable. The grounds are being restored to their former glory - with a mini 'Alhambra Generalife' garden. The location in Lanjaron is good and there is on-site parking, which is a big plus in this town of tiny streets.
