I got there and there were random hairs around. It looked like housekeeping, not a previous guest. I also did not have face towels despite calling the front desk, notifying housekeeping and then calling the front desk again. It took two full days. The food wasn’t that amazing. It was rather bland to me. The staff was incredibly nice and sweet with every interaction, always smiled, greeted, and were very respectful. The hotel itself is a bit run down but has different areas that have been upgraded and are very nice. There was also an odd Shell on my floor - like original food. Other than that, decent hotel for a short stay. I wouldn’t stay here again, but it was not awful for a stop and go.

The room and bathroom were tired. No one serviced the room or cleaned the bathroom on our first night. Breakfast was ok but not great. Average quality of produce but wide choice.

Weeks prior to checking in, I attempted to call, message directly and through Expedia, requesting an early check in, none of my attempts to contact them was responded to. They didn’t even pick up the phone when I tried calling them. On arrival, they said that there was no possibility to check-in earlier. Would have been good to know this before I arrived. Other than that, the staff were pleasant and polite.

When arrived no AC next to lobby. The bathroom had bad smell. The water pressure in the shower was week. The hot water was not hot. When you close the door of washroom loud sound cones due to roof panels loose. The hotel is next to mosque. The AC cannot be adjusted and very dry. The key card inside room is lose and will come out. (So definitely not 5 * hotel (max 3 *) +vs amazing staff and service from valet, good variety of breakfast, bed is nice and comfortable, near to lot of shops & grocery (1 min walk),

Arriving at 1300 hrs, I was told I was not allowed to check-in until 1400 hrs, so was left standing there to wait. A few minutes later another group arrived, and were called forward and invited to check-in. I approached the desk and asked why these people were allowed to check-in, but I had been told to wait. No explanation was given for this discrimination, but the staff then let me check-in.

I had a brilliant stay at the Jannah Burj Al Sarab. Room was very spacious, clean and modern and I had nice view on one of the upper floors. The king-size bed was so comfortable and there was a nice table to do work. The Wi-Fi was very reliable and quick. Bathroom was a decent size with a good shower. All the staff were extremely helpful, professional, and friendly - checking in and out was quick. The hotel has a swimming pool and gym on the top floor which offer a really great view. There was also a jacuzzi which was great to go in after a day out to re-charge. Location is near a number of different bus routes as well as the Abu Dhabi Mall and the beautiful corniche which is well worth walking. Would definitely stay at this hotel again in the future.

The hotel needs an urgent refurbishment, carpet is overall stained, furniture is old and outdated. Curtains not fresh and the overall smell in the room is not nice. I had no warm water when is took a shower. Also the check-in was very troublesome. I needed to que in my car for over 20 minutes before I could enter the hotel and for them to take the keys of the car for obliged valet parking. I had a room on the 2nd floor and the noise from the straat and music from the hotel restaurant was very loud.

When we arrived in our room upon check in there were smb’s dirty underwear and socks. I am in shock that this is even possible in 5* hotel. I have to call reception twice so they could send smb to clean it up. There were no apologies, there was nothing from the hotel side to solve this incident. I am in shock, this is not acceptable in any hotel, especially in the hotel that claims to be a 5* hotel! They just didn’t care about this incident and didn’t make a follow up to make sure we are ok. No apology, no solution proposed. Worst service ever. I would never stay there again and would recommend everyone to avoid this property!

Room was fine but overall property was stinky. Breakfast was horrible. Reception staff was unwelcoming. Property location was pretty bad in terms of the locality around. We stayed in deluxe room with sea view. Limited lighting in the room and was very depressing.

Terrible experience with what I would called a 3 star hotel. Was charged 250 dollars for an extra bed that was in the worst condition ever.. the brought me an old broken mattress and when I complained, the brought me a second mattress stained with a huge circle in the middle… you could not imagine sleep on such a thing… they made me wait for hours to send a supervisor and the only solution they had was to use blankets as the bed… paid 250 dollars to sleep on the floor. There was no responsibility or accountability from the hotel. The breakfast was also very average and the premises are definitively not up to the stars the hotel proclaiming it has… At most, is a 3 star hotel, very expensive for what you get! Do not recommend it at all….

After a long flight, they took soo long to check in also. Almost every guest complained about service being slow while we were waiting to be checked in also. Also we were provided with smoking room even after we chose non smoking room months earlier
