We were in Italy 5 weeks, and Lipari was my favorite place. We liked it so much we decided to stay two extra days. We used the common kitchen area and had an enjoyable time meeting others doing the same thing. It made our room seem twice as large.

Communication was very good. The plumbing all worked right (we're on a budget, so a couple of previous rooms set the bar pretty low - they were all clean though), the room was an exceptional value (late October). We really liked the common kitchen area right next to our room - we used it a lot.
We also liked Lipari so much we extended our stay for 2 more days in the same room.
I don't remember if we ever got the WiFi working in the room. I was having phone trouble, but my wife couldn't pick it up either, so i think it was the signal. That was really the only negative thing.

hotel, staff and location are amazing. breakfast is good and it's convenient that it has a fully equipped kitchen. however, the double bed is just 2 beds pur together that drift apart. please fix it.

I enjoyed my stay at Mamamia. The location is excellent, room comfortable. Staff were great.
