    Nikko hotels do have a good reputation. Hotel is a little dated however room was clean with good facilities and a magnificent view on the bay. Free breakfast was a nice addition😊

    Having traveled to Japan five or six times over the past three years, I can honestly say that this stay was an unexpected and delightful surprise. Although the hotel is not brand new, the room was exceptionally clean — absolutely spotless. We stayed in a high-floor twin room, and the panoramic view of Oita was simply breathtaking. The breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of options, thoughtfully combining both traditional Japanese and Western dishes. What truly impressed me was the attention to detail: even the breakfast tableware was made of Noritake bone china, which was a pleasant and surprising touch. The staff were incredibly polite, warm, and welcoming throughout our stay. Overall, it was a wonderful experience that truly exceeded expectations. As a well-established, classic four-star hotel, the service was still top-notch and held to a remarkably high standard.

    The hotel room has been maintained well but the bed was extremely uncomfortable, it was so hard, pillows were so flat that my husband and I had neck pain almost daily. Location wise it is ok but probably only convenient for those with cars. There’s a 7-11 nearby, other than that there’s not much food options.
