Expedia booked me a sea view , the hotel was not aware but they upgraded us . Very friendly staff. Breakfast buffet was good , front desk assistance was great . Overall 9 out of 10

The area of interest is about 1 km walking. Which is not so bad when you want to have dinner, but during the afternoon when it’s too hot and there is no expectation, you must have a car in order to get around

Such a lovely property! Beautiful views from the rooms some with pools and hot tubs in your patio area, the staff and manager were amazing so welcoming and took great care of us from calling taxis for us to having rental cars available through them, they went over and above to make our stay for our honeymoon and it was amazing! Can’t wait to come back and stay!!

Very clean and beautiful hotel. The rooms are rather big and well furnished, the pool is great and inviting. We had half-board and enjoyed it very much. Local ingredients (organic) and very tasty. We haven't had the same main dish in two weeks! The staff was always smiling and very welcoming at all times (they made us feel at home) . The hotel is not in the center of any tourist spot, which we knew and therefore decided to book. It's very quiet, with great views (one side Naxos town and the other Agios Prokopios).

Good value for money with a nice pool. 10 min taxi from ferry port/Naxos town and 25 min walk to Spar and Agios prokopios beach. Only downside is Taxis are expensive and hotel isn’t on a bus route - would recommend hiring a car.

We went to Athen, Paros and Naxos. We loved to apartments in Athen and Paros. The Golden Sun at Naxos was a disappointment. It is very expensive compared to the standard of the hotel rooms. We are a family of five and had two rooms. The standard of the rooms are very simple. The bathrooms had old toothpaste, soap and some black stuff on the soap container and the shower. Both showers were leaking, so the floor was always wet. Don’t think they have upgraded the rooms the last 30 years. In one of the rooms, the air conditioner didn’t work and smelled like a wet dog. We asked if they could fix it three times. Somehow they blamed us for not turning it on right, having doors or windows open etc. It was very uncomfortable. When we checked out after three days, they appologised and said we were right about the air conditioner. So sad. Be very particular about which room you book, if you are staying at this hotel.

The Golden Sun Hotel is an absolute dream. Our room with the private pool was just as pictured / if not MORE beautiful than pictured. The front desk man (Jones) was beyond helpful. Just a short taxi ride to the port, the location was ideal as it was in a super quiet mountainside near the ocean. Would highly recommend it if you’re looking for a nice quiet getaway!! I will be back!

Amazing room. Best I had in Greece. Junior svit is brilliant. Balcony is beautiful and shower is amazing. Staff freindly and helpful. Only negative is its a bit to walk to the beach. But it is the best beach on the island. Also a bit from the city. Usually I like to live at one place or the other. Close to the beach or close to the city. Overall very nice. Alot of bang for the Bucks. Ok breakfast. Not super fancy.

Room was small but clean with comfortable beds. Closet space was lacking. Nice showers with good pressure. The reception was excellent and helpful providing many tips on attractions, and provided a free shuttle to and from the port. Pool was very nice as well.

We had such a nice time here. Very relaxing with my 14 and 16 year olds. We traveled alone and felt very safe. The staff were incredibly nice, especially George. He simply could not do enough for us. Great vacation in a beautiful area.
