Lots of breakfast choices! They have a parking garage for parking and laundry facilities for cleaning your clothes at 5 Euro a load. There is also food served in the evening. P The room was clean and nice, they even left us apples and still water as a welcoming gift. Would stay here again!

Nice, comfortable, tidy room. Reasonable hours for staffing. Excellent breakfast that consisted of breads, cheeses, sliced meats, fruit, scrambled eggs, and various toppings like honeys and jams; though breakfast does cost extra. Sometimes it’s much cheaper when booked on Hotels.com than with the hotel or in person (€15 per breakfast, but I think we only paid $2 per day with Hotels.com). Bus stops right outside that takes you downtown, and the bus to the airport is about 100 yards away. Would stay again!

The double bed was very big, and the extra bed from an easy chair was also good, with space to move around the room. The ground floor room was fine, not noisy (no noise heard from the airport). There is a bakery that also serves coffee just opposite the hotel (to save money on breakfast). The check-in staff were excellent, spoke very good English. Check out was hassle-free.

Not too far from Salzburg city centre. We were given free bus passes as well because of we paid city taxes as visitors. Most of the staff at the reception were very helpful. Specifically a new member of staff and she was under training. One thing I wasn’t impressed was they charged me €5 euros for a bit of milk. The experience staff member was training this new girl and when I asked for milk at the reception she didn’t mention anything about I have to pay for it. I was only asking for an extra sachet of milk to make a coupe of coffee. I was informed that guests only allowed the sachets in the room for the day.

We called and asked to check in early at 11 AM for a €30 fee, and they were unable to find the early check-in, which resulted in me, walking around completely jetlagged for hours until 3 PM for check-in. They said they would call so let me know when the room is ready, but nobody called. Further, they just seems completely unhappy and unwilling to help in general. I just think there are a better options where you feel that the staff is working with you not against you.

The staff were very kind to our many questions. The room was large (we had 3 adults) and very modern. The hotel was clean and there were many things that made our stay comfortable. They had some snack options at the bar so we were able to order some food when we arrived late. The rooms had air conditioning and very comfortable beds. The hotel is not in the main city center but the bus line is right in front of hotel. We had no issues with transportation! The bus line has a direct stop at the main train station.

We are a family of four and stayed at the Hotel Max 70 during the European summer heat wave of 2025 (34°C). Thank goodness for the quiet and comfortable air conditioning in the suite! The double queen bed suite we had was fairly spacious and comfortable. The décor was modern and looked brand new. The fridge was welcome as well as a separate toilet room from the shower room. The front desk staff were very nice and helpful. English language was welcome. They had a good quality breakfast buffet you can have (best to book the night before to save a few Euro). The bus into Historic Salzburg was no more than 15 minutes long, with a stop just outside the hotel. We made many trips back and forth over 4 days it was so easy (the hotel will give you a bus pass for your phone, which the bus never checks anyway). We used Google Maps to get bus information. There is a coin operated washing machine and drywer in the hotel basement which we were glad to use (€8/load and they give you a soap pod). There are a couple of decent restaurants a couple of blocks away too.

This is a great place to stay. It’s a simple place and not a luxury hotel by any means; however, it’s clean and the staff is friendly and helpful. The breakfast room is small and they provide you with an option of two breakfast times (0700-0830 and 0830-1000). The underground parking is a bit tight; however we didn’t have any issues and we had a relatively large rental car by European standards. Unlike most hotels in Europe, the AC is central and works quite well. In order to conserve energy all the lights in public places are on a sensor. For example, the lights in the garage and hallways will turn off after a few minutes if they don’t detect any movement. It’s pretty well located from places like Mozart Platz and Mirabelle Palace (a 10-15 minute drive from each location). If my family and I ever make it back to Salzburg we’ll definitely try to stay here again. It was overall a pleasant stay.

Enjoyed the stay. Hotel has nice clean rooms and front desk service is great. Location is not ideal since it’s a 10-minute bus ride to city centre. However, it compensates this with the bus stop just in front of the hotel and the e-bike rental. Hotel even offers a laundry service both should purchase new machines.

The staff was very helpful in finding bus transportation, and helping us know where to park our vehicle. When I accidentally paid for two parking spaces, the night staff and then the manager helped me. The beds were comfortable and the room was cool.. Breakfast was lovely and we loved all the options, especially the porridge, yogurt, fruit, croissants and jams. The breakfast staff was especially helpful when the porridge ran out. They were quick to prepare some more. There was plenty seating for breakfast. We enjoyed the balcony for our room in the evening. We appreciated the water and the apples in our room when we arrived. The refrigerator wasn't very cold and the toilet area smelled a little like old urine. Hotel staff was sent to clean it, but the smell remained. Overall, it was a really good stay though.

We stayed for 3 wonderful nights in Salzburg. Hotel Max 70 is located a 30 minute walk from the old town or a 10 minute bus ride and the bus stops right outside the hotel. It is also good to know that the city tax includes free public transport. The hotel is located in a quiet residential area. Our room was modern and spacious and it was nice to have a balcony overlooking mountains and a sofa that we could relax on and enjoy a coffee. The underground car park is a nice touch. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We'd recommend staying here.
