    Whistling Woodzs Resort, Dandeli ​If you are looking for a blend of high-octane adventure and serene nature, Whistling Woodzs Resort in Dandeli is the place to be. Nestled right on the banks of the Kali River, this property offers a sprawling riverfront view that is hard to beat. ​Exceptional Hospitality & Service ​What truly made our stay memorable was the incredible staff. A huge shoutout to Ram, who was instrumental from the moment we arrived. He provided a detailed walkthrough of the property and its many amenities, ensuring we didn't miss out on anything—from the hidden scenic spots to the timing for the river activities. ​Culinary Delights ​The food here is a highlight! Vivek, the cook, is a magician in the kitchen. Every meal was a treat, featuring a great variety of local flavors and perfectly prepared dishes that felt like a warm, home-cooked meal in the middle of the jungle. ​Adventure at its Best ​For the thrill-seekers, the river rafting is an absolute must-do. Our rafting guide, Vishal, was phenomenal. He was professional, safety-conscious, and knew exactly how to navigate the rapids to give us the ultimate adrenaline rush while keeping us completely at ease. ​Why You Should Visit: ​Prime Location: Massive 400-meter riverfront with stunning views of the Kali River. ​Adventure Activities: Excellent arrangements for rafting, kayaking, and zip-lining. ​Comfortable Stay: Spacious rooms (some with jacuzzis!) that offer a rustic yet luxurious feel. ​Nature Galore: Perfect for bird watching or simply relaxing by the riverbank. ​Thank you to the entire team for such a refreshing getaway. We can't wait to return!

    Our stay was very comfortable, especially in the premium cottage, offering a perfect blend of nature and relaxation. However, it's important to note that the property is located in the heart of the forest, which means you'll encounter some local residents like lizards and small insects. This is all part of the charm of being in nature, but the team is always available to help if needed. Still, as we are in their territory, don’t expect the environment to be completely free of these creatures. The food was above average, and as vegetarians, we managed to find suitable options. During the weekend rush, the food service seemed a bit strained, and while we could see the crowd management challenges, it’s understandable given the mixed nature of the guests. It’s important to adjust your expectations during busy times — though the quality of the food remained decent. The Jungle Safari experience was an incredible highlight. Even though it’s not something the property directly organizes, they went out of their way to arrange it for us, and it was truly memorable. While the team offers great guidance and advice, the safari itself is more of a self-guided experience. One thing to note is that the property is a bit remote, and the roads leading to it can be rough — you're driving through the forest without tar roads. But the property management does a fantastic job of maintaining the facilities. Be prepared to travel 3-5 km to reach the nearest main road for any supplies or activities, and make sure to fill up your fuel tank before heading out, as fuel stations are not nearby. And finally, the spa was outstanding — one of the best experiences we’ve had. The service was exceptional, and the staff went above and beyond. A special mention to the front office staff for recommending the perfect spa treatment for us. If you’re staying here, the spa is a must-try. Overall, it’s a great place to disconnect and immerse yourself in nature, with excellent service and unforgettable experiences. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful retreat!
