When I come to the Delmar staff is friendly and quick to check me in. The place is clean and my room is always nice. I work alot so being able to getaway and relax is the best feeling.

I'll start by saying that I've tried to get somebody on the phone to address an overcharge on my credit card, but the hotel's main phone number rarely gets answered and has no voicemail. It was common during my stay to try to contact the front desk with no answer by phone -- and nobody staffed the front desk for long stretches of time (including at least one stretch of 30-45 minutes during normal morning business hours).
Basically, Del-Mar has LOTS of little issues that might be tolerable on their own, but add up to making this a place that I will NEVER book again on my future business trips to Shreveport.
Even checking in I was given the wrong WiFi password. When I got to my room, I saw a blood stain on a pillow, non-working lamp next to the bed, broken handle on a drawer, empty Kleenex container, no extra toilet paper, and unwrapped styrofoam cups for the coffee maker. Later during my stay I saw a cockroach in the room (of course). And, like I said, I could rarely find the front desk assistance.
Actually, I could've dealt with all of that, but then a couple days after getting home, I discovered a random $166 charge to my credit card...That was the last straw.
This place is simply unacceptable for business travel...and I wouldn't recommend any friends or family to stay there for personal travel, either. I had tried to save my company some money, since this spot had prior decent reviews and a cheap price...but the current version of this place should be ranked much lower. Del-Mar has the framework of a place that probably used to be decent, but certainly isn't operated on a professional level anymore.
I could write in much more detail, but now I need to get back to figuring out how to get the bogus $166 charge removed from my credit card....

This hotel, which appears to have been recently acquired, offers decent rooms and a convenient location. However, we had to request towels and even toilet paper, which was a bit inconvenient.
