    Bathroom exhaust fan doesn’t work and corridors have water drops late service & they don’t give room on time for check in

    First, let me say that the staff at this Hotel are lovely, friendly and attentive, the pool at the hotel is good and the food OK. However, in my opinion, the senior management at the Hotel have let things slide to such an extent that it damages the Hard Rock Hotel brand and most importantly shows a lack of care for the residents. Music: Now I know we are at a Hotel with music in it's DNA with music playing most of the day. No problem with that. However, there is a DJ on from Tuesday through to Sunday from around 6pm to 10:30 pm who plays music so loud that residents bones vibrate! Indeed it is so loud that the bar in the swimming pool area is deserted as the DJ speakers are right next to it. No one can hear themselves speak and the staff are forced to endure this assault on their eardrums. As a result, everyone leaves the hotel and goes to the nearby Calungute town. The DJ seems oblivious to this and senior management seem not to care. We had a room on the third floor and on opposite side to the pool and the DJ and with the doors and windows closed we could still hear the noise from the DJ! Taxis: There is a taxi rank right outside the hotel. However, if you want a taxi you are told by the taxi drivers there is a minimum charge of INR500. If you walk just to the corner to the town street you can catch a taxi that is far cheaper than the rates they are charging. In addition I was told that external Taxi drivers are "discouraged" from picking up from the hotel by these taxi drivers that are on the rank outside the hotel. So, in effect, the Hotel is letting these drivers cheat it's guests. How is that right? Lastly, maintenance and cleanliness. We had a hotel safe that was not fixed to anything so anyone could pick up the entire safe and take it (it was not heavy). The wardrobe doors did not shut properly and the shower fitting kept falling out of the bracket. The Gym was dirty and there was no one there to supervise the visitors. Many of the visitors did not know how to use the Gym machines there. There were no staff on site and as a result some of the occurences of misuse and simple ignorance of safety were worrying to see. That is an accident waiting to happen. So, in summary, this is not the Hard Rock Hotel experience that I have enjoyed elsewhere. It may have the name but it is NOT worthy of it. Needless to say we will not be staying there again.
