HOTEL DELHI AEROCITY

I stayed in a Super Deluxe Room, and for the price, this was excellent value. The room was generally well maintained, and the bed was large and comfortable, with clean sheets, pillows and covers. The one cleanliness issue was that there were some lizard droppings in the bathroom, which really should have been cleaned before check-in. The AC was a little awkward to use. At 24–25°C, it didn’t seem to cool the room enough, while setting it below 23°C made the room too cold, so I ended up turning it on and off rather than leaving it at a comfortable temperature. The Wi-Fi was excellent. I measured around 94Mbps download and 96Mbps upload, with very low latency. That is much better than I expect from most budget hotels and more than enough for streaming, video calls or getting work done. During my stay, reception rotated between three people, one of whom was the owner. All three were kind and helpful. Check-in takes a little time because you have to enter your details in a massive old-school bound register, which seems to be a government requirement rather than something the hotel has chosen to make unnecessarily complicated. The food was another pleasant surprise. During my stay, I had seekh kebabs, egg curry with tawa roti, boiled eggs with black coffee, egg fried rice and salted fresh lime soda. The menu was substantial, prices were reasonable, and the food was genuinely good. Outside food isn't allowed, but given the quality and price of the hotel’s own food, I didn’t find it a problem. One incident particularly impressed me. I ordered chicken fried rice, but the owner called to say he wasn’t happy with the quality of the chicken in the kitchen and didn’t want to risk serving me something that could make me ill. He suggested an alternative fried rice instead. I thought that was very thoughtful and said a lot about how he runs the place. The restaurant itself was closed during my stay, so all meals had to be ordered through room service. There aren’t really any other facilities to speak of. I wasn’t expecting a gym, pool, or anything elaborate at this price, which is why I would give the facilities 4/5 rather than 5/5. The hotel is also easy to miss from the main road. Google Maps takes you to the correct location, but the hotel facade doesn't face the main road and sits inside a gully, so the photos you see online won’t necessarily help you spot it while driving past the row of multi-storey buildings. Road access is slightly awkward too. If you need to head towards Delhi or the airport, it can be easier to walk roughly 500m towards the Radisson Blu and get picked up there. Otherwise, depending on your direction of travel, you may end up driving several kilometres through traffic simply to make a legal U-turn. Crossing the road directly is possible, but with around 10 lanes of traffic involved, I certainly wouldn’t recommend treating that casually. The immediate neighbourhood is functional rather than attractive: lots of traffic, people and buildings, with Mahipalpur behind the hotel being quite dusty, noisy and maze-like. You stay here for the airport location and value, not for the neighbourhood. Being this close to the airport also means aircraft noise can get very loud, especially when larger or older aircraft pass by. I personally enjoyed that, but I would hesitate to recommend the hotel to a very light sleeper or a weary traveller whose top priority is uninterrupted sleep. I would happily stay here again for an airport transit stay, an early or late flight, a budget stay near IGI, or simply because I enjoy being around aircraft.

Great location with friendly staff, in hotel restaurant with limited menu choice, we requested for special kitchdi and chhole and they accomodated our request. Location is close to airport however it is in shady area. Facility could use improvement as they felt 2 star hotel. However, price is low and excellent, I only needed to have few hours before leaving for airport 3 am so I did not mind. Good value for the money.
