Great central location with parking, just off the beaten track and a nice garden that badgers visit regularly.
Sadly the ground floor room I stayed in had no outside view. The tall window was opaque for privacy reasons but the top half could have been left to be able to see outside. Felt a little claustrophobic.
The proprietor was warm and friendly.

Guests enjoy stylish, often lake-view, rooms and the added benefit of a complimentary infrared sauna, making it an ideal retreat after a day of challenging walks on the surrounding fells like Helm Crag. Furthermore, the on-site Grasmere Brewery and Distillery affiliation often provides guests with a discount on food and drink at the nearby gastro-pub, tying the stay to the very essence of local Cumbrian life.
Lakeside View nails the essentials: stunning location, thoughtful convenience (parking), and a pet-friendly policy that is truly welcoming.
