The motel is in a perfect location. Right off of Boulder Creek. There is a park along Boulder Creek right across the street and easy access to the Red Rocks Trail of Boulder that goes through some really neat rock formations. The motel is very rustic. It was built in 1933 and probably has the original wood paneling. While I have no complaints about the main room (with beds (which were comfortable) and desk, the bathroom needs help. Our sink was stopped up, took forever to drain. The tub/shower surround and tub/shower were dirty. And the tub/shower surround very definitely needed to be replaced, or at least re-caulked. The shower pressure however was great and the water did not pool while taking a shower.

It’s a great location, but we paid $290 for our small 2 queen cabin. It’s an old cabin and while it was clean, there’s nothing that warrants spending $290/night. The only reason we booked it is because of an emergency stay in Boulder. Besides the hefty bill, it was nice. But a tip: put coffee makers in each room. I had to walk across the parking lot in my jammies to get my morning wake up coffee.

I was in the area to hike and visit family. Very basic and rustic but clean. The location was great, close to everything and a beautiful park across the street. We didn't have time for the sauna. Hopefully next time. Parking was easy

We stayed in the Flagstaff which is the first owners home and the only space that has a very large kitchen sitting room. Two bedrooms, a dining room and a very small bathroom. The place is like stepping back in time, and that was fun for us seniors. We enjoyed being able to stay in such a large apartment because it gave us the area to invite friends to enjoy a few friends over for dinners. The only thing I would ask the property to do is some important maintenance of putting knobs back in cupboards and a light switch. Also fix the h bath tub nob on the hot side so it doesn't continuously move and burn a person. That's what would have made it perfect. That was it. It was clean and comfortable and we enjoyed our stay and we would probably stay again.

It was a wonderful stay with great staff! The room was cozy and beds comfortable. You can walk to Pearl Street, there’s a bike path and hiking trails nearby. I really liked the grassy area behind the hotel that was quite relaxing. We would definitely stay here again! Thank you Foot of the Mountain for a memorable time!

This was my fourth time staying at the motel and it still stands out as one of the best spots to stay in Boulder. The walk into town is simple and pleasant, there’s some nice hiking nearby, and the facilities are cosy and comfortable. Whenever I’m passing through town, this is one of the first places I look at. It’s always a pleasure to stay a night or two and enjoy coffee from the office outside the room each morning.

We really enjoyed our stay! Everyone was really friendly. There is a rustic feel and look that made it feel a bit like stepping back into simpler times. The park across the street was great! Jeremy was very helpful and friendly throughout our stay. My only complaint would be the bathroom was dated and the shower was very stained. Overall, it was a great experience!

Loved the location by Boulder Creek! Lots to do within walking distance (park, creek, hikes, walk to Pearl Street, sauna and cold plunge on site). Great staff! Friendly and offered great suggestions for restaurants and activities. The Foot of the Mountain motel has a special historic charm. It’s a unique, cozy cabin-like lodging. We really enjoyed our stay. Thank you to Jeremy and Hailey for making our stay so enjoyable and giving us customized suggestions. We thoroughly enjoyed your “Boulder-experience” tips! The only constructive comment we have is to provide additional blankets. The blankets on the bed were thin and didn’t keep us warm through the night.

Couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay. The sauna and cold plunge were nice to use in the morning after a run along the rapids which are 10 steps out the front door. Super clean, AC was nice and cold, plus the breakfast was great after hiking the night before. The next time I’m here I’ll be booking with Foot of the Mountain no doubt

This is a really nice place to stay. The room was beautiful and checkin was easy. Nice walking trails and the creek is a 2 minute walk from the motel. Breakfast was very nice too. I would love to come and stay here again!

Everything was excellent except the parking situation. We were in room 18 and our spot was in an awkward corner. If someone parked in the spot behind us (the $10/night parking), it was a struggle to get out. Thankfully we had rented a small car so it wasn't a big issue and we could finagle our way out. With that being said, that definitely won't stop us from returning to this hotel in the future.
