    Very good accommodation on Koh Chang island. Small bungalows in a beautiful garden, with a small pool and bar. An accommodation where they pay attention to details, it's easy to feel at home. The bed is comfortable, the accommodation is clean, the owners are very nice. Breakfast is served on the terrace. Good air conditioning, there is a fridge (and mini bar), hot water and if there weren't so many mosquitoes, you could spend a lot of time on the terrace. You can rent a scooter, which is necessary to explore the island, but also just to go down to the beach.

    Was in the cheapest room available. Bed was huge and comfy. Place was very clean, but the toilet did seem to have some problems, smelled bad sometimes and when you flushed it dirty water came back up. Owners were very kind and so was the staff. Would stay here again.

    Ko chang was a learning experience. The baht buses aren't 10 baht, they're 50-100. So if you book a place that's even a short distance to a beach, you've kind of charged yourself an extra 209-400 baht in travel each day/ per person. Better to find a place closer to the beach, with a convenience store and eatery withing 300m. That's entirely possible without breaking the budget. So, while this place isn't a dump, I'd recommend something like Kau bae. Further out means fewer girly bars. pick a resort on the coast side of the main road. A swimming pool is no substitute for a nice beach with a juice bar in the sand. See Patoo resort, for instance. Further out but there are 3 nice hotels side by side on the beach
