I had a fantastic stay at Hotel James in Rotterdam! The location is perfect—right in the heart of the city, making it easy to explore all the nearby attractions. The rooms are modern, clean, and very comfortable, with thoughtful details that make you feel at home. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful, always ready to assist with a smile. One of the highlights was the overall atmosphere of the hotel—it’s stylish yet cozy, and everything feels well-maintained. I also appreciated the amenities offered, which added great value to the experience. If I could suggest one improvement, it would be to make the gym accessible 24 hours a day. For guests with varying schedules or those who prefer late-night or early-morning workouts, this would be a fantastic addition to an already excellent experience. Overall, I highly recommend Hotel James for anyone visiting Rotterdam. I’ll definitely return!

Great room very quiet but in a great location for what we needed, staff were exceptional from reception to the lady in ths hotel shop great communication and only too happy to help. Excellent value for money. Only negatives were that our bedroom view was of a multistorey car park accross the road and the top of the buidling appears to be a construction site but we heard no noise over the weekend.

Had a great stay at this hotel. We arrived very early and the staff provided a secure location to store our luggage while we explored Rotterdam. They were able to check us in earlier than their normal time. All of their staff were very helpful and offered great advice for restaurants and activities. We highly recommend this hotel for your stay in Rotterdam!

Check in was super easy thanks to Amy. She was so amiable and welcoming that it was quite nice to be greeted with that after driving for such a long time. The room was spacious and they gave us a free upgrade which was very much appreciated. The bed was super comfortable. My partner and I both agreed that it felt like we never left home because it was as comfortable as the bed we have back home. The shower had really good water pressure too. We parked at the hotel. It was convenient and front reception have been really kind to help us get our car in and out of the hotel. Overall. We loved our stay at The James Hotel. We totally recommend it to our friends.

Just a short stay, but very pleasant. Room was available for earlier check in, reasonable size and with comfy bed and good shower. Breakfast is a little basic, but you can choose what you want and pay per item. Good value overall.

Sadly, there was difficulty with the Wi-Fi and the television that never worked for me and the telephone didn’t work until one of the front desk receptionist came up to sort that out. And when I went to use the microwave in the morning, I did not realize it was taken away, and the lady in the breakfast area was rather Kurt with me. But overall, I wanna say the front desk reception staff were phenomenal. Cheeers

Really like our junior suite room with big bath tubs, the tv doesn't work when I check in , it take them a couple times to have it fixed . The wifi is bad , it work well if you could able to get a connection. No greeting from front desk at all , we stay for 6 nights and may be got greeted for 2 times total? Don't know if it is a Dutch thing

We stayed at The James for 5 nights and it was fantastic. The hotel is very clean and comfortable, we stayed in a family room which was very spacious. The little market area for drinks, snacks and breakfast was very convenient. All the staff we encountered were very friendly and the whole family really enjoyed our stay. We will definitely return!

Great location for exploring Rotterdam, close to major department store and food outlets - walkable to most central Rotterdam sights. Front-desk staff were helpful, and check-in was smooth. Room was clean and comfortable. Our car was too big for their car elevator into the on-site car park, but - when I enquired about parking ahead of our stay - the hotel advised us to park in Q-Park directly opposite the hotel. Very convenient.

I had such a great time staying at The James Hotel in Rotterdam! From the moment I arrived, the staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful, making me feel right at home. The atmosphere is stylish yet relaxed, and the design of the hotel is modern with just the right touch of comfort. My room was spotless, beautifully decorated, and surprisingly quiet considering the central location. The bed was super comfy, and I loved having such a cozy space to unwind after exploring the city. The amenities were great too. The self-service food market on the second floor was really convenient, and the gym was a nice bonus. The location is perfect, right in the heart of Rotterdam with easy access to shops, restaurants, and public transport. I was able to walk to most of the main sights, which made my trip even more enjoyable. All in all, I had a fantastic stay and would definitely come back. Highly recommend The James Hotel if you are looking for a chic, friendly, and centrally located place to stay in Rotterdam!

The hotel has an excellent location — just steps from shops, cafés, and restaurants, which made it very convenient. My room was comfortable and spacious, and overall the stay was pleasant. I didn’t like that food and drinks are purchased through machines using a credit card, with no staff around, which made the experience feel less personal and welcoming.

Room, a double bed, was nice, modern and spacious. Clean hotel, very centrally located, walking distance to Central Station and Erasmus Bridge. Nice 24 hour convenience Foodhall store on 2nd Fl for food items and sundries (no cash payment, credit card machine only), spacious lounge area attached to it. Has wifi, mini fridge and Aircon with cooling/heating. Bathroom reasonably well configured and equipped. Cons: minor. Tiny espresso cups in room, not good enough for tea - can wing some paper cups from 2nd floor Foodhall as workaround. No iron and ironing board in room,but hotel can lend on request. Spare plug near writing desk would be of help. As would usb ports there and at beside tables.

Very fortunate to have chosen The James Hotel in Rotterdam- it’s perfect . The hotel itself is excellent - rooms are so clean and well maintained and amenities on level 2 (a lounge and Self-serving food shop) are of a very high standard . The staff are ever so friendly and there to assist you 24/7 The hotel’s location is situated perfectly between walkable site-seeing options or via close-by trams, to having many shops and restaurants just around the corner. Overall - I strongly recommend this hotel as their room prices offer very good value for money imho. If I come back to Rotterdam- this is where I will be staying ! 5 stars

Was charged with a 30 euro fee that we werent told about when booking, then a 100 euro deposit which is outragous. that alone, as soon as we walk in was enough to ruin my expectations. Then we were told we can have any guests in the rooms which made it worse. The quality of the rooms and lounge were good but the beds were awful. Cheap foam ontop of two beds put together made it so you always fell in the middle and we kept waking up in pain. there was also a thick layer of dust on the bed headboard but clean other than that.

Don't be put off by the slightly uninspiring appearance from outside (and the tiny door from the street!) as it's really lovely inside. I wish it had a restaurant, but there are so many around that it's not a problem. I was on one of the low floors and barely noticed the traffic noise at all. Would definitely come back and stay again!
