Stayed at Hotel Alta Montaña and it delivered exactly what you want from a mountain base.
Clean, quiet, and well run. The staff are genuinely welcoming, not just polite, which makes a difference when you’re staying a few days. The views are outstanding, especially sitting above the cloud layer at around 1,400 meters.
From a cycling standpoint, the location is hard to beat. You’re essentially on the climb the moment you roll out. You can head straight toward Teide or descend as far as you like and build your own climb back up. It gives you total control over your ride profile without dealing with traffic or logistics.
Evenings were a standout. The chef is first-rate and the food was consistently excellent, which matters more than people think when you’re training and recovering day after day.
Simple, peaceful, and perfectly positioned. I’ll be back next year.

Dinner and breakfast were both excellent. The room was clean, staff was friendly, and the hot tubs and sauna were welcomed bonuses.

Great location with good amenities and lovely views. Only issue we had is we were given two single beds pushed together instead of a double bed.
