Loved my stay at Rustiek. The staff were AMAZING, and my room was incredible. So much space. Loved having a pool to dip into during the 36C heat, and the team arranged some great game activities while I was staying with them. The food offered is not the very best, but there are some great options nearby as an alternative. My favourites were Coffee Buzz and Di Kubu.

The staff at The Rustiek are truly exceptional—warm, welcoming and incredibly accommodating. The complimentary breakfast was fabulous, and we thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful rustic grounds, peaceful setting and location. Our only critique concerns how the property is described on the website. The terms “luxury accommodation” and “fine dining” set a certain level of expectation that, in our opinion, doesn’t quite reflect the actual experience. The Rustiek has plenty of charm and offers very good value for its price point, but guests arriving with expectations of a traditional luxury property and fine-dining experience may be disappointed. That said, we genuinely loved our stay at The Rustiek and would happily recommend it for what it does so well: offering a charming, relaxed and welcoming place to stay at a very reasonable price. Most of all, we absolutely loved the staff, who were undoubtedly one of the highlights of our visit.

What made up for basic accommodation was a ood bed, clean sheets air-conditioning, hot and cold water was the staff. They were exceptionally friendly and very helpful. If you are looking for a 5 star accommodation this is not it. If you are looking for basic accommodation, frienfly and helpful staff, value for your money, good breakfasts and access to all the activities Kasane has to offer such as River rides, game drives, seeing vic falls and easy access to the shops, this is the place.

Original decor in the rooms, but pleasant, staff is very friendly, but probably learning how to run a guesthouse. Upon our arrival, the lock on our door and the TV did not work, so we enjoyed an upgrade to a bigger room, for which we are very thankful. Close to Spar and some restaurants. Restaurant overlooking the river and very good breakfast provided. Mosquito nets over beds would be helpful. Cleaning the corners could be improved. The biggest double (or quad) bed we have ever seen.
