Quay Apartments Clarence House

The Quay apartments are very good once inside. Well presented equipped, warm with a great TV, bed and shower. There's a couple of handy shops adjacent to the building which is very convenient. Initially finding the property and parking was tricky as no obvious signage. I initially parked my car in an adjacent street and used google maps to walk to the entrance (which is shared with another business). Once fond staff were very helpful and friendly. Parking is in a multi storey around the back of the property about 150m walk, so not too bad. Overall a good place to stay if the town centre location suits.

The stay was good lovely apartment itself, but couple bits that could be better, it was very cold only 1 heater in the room worked so was really cold with the children, bathroom light should be on the outside not behind the door. The battery’s in the control for the tv wasn’t working properly. Flooring was freezing

The property paid no attention to my special requests on the Expedia page. I was given an apt on the 9th floor. The front desk staffer put me through Mohammed, the owner, during check-in. He directed me to speak to Anna, the head of housekeeping, the next day. My apt. had a view to the east where undesirable people parked their cars with their back lights on. My apt. was just a couple of doors down from Anna’s “office.” My door faced the hall’s door, which was slammed mercilessly throughout the day. Anna invited herself in when she came to see me. She told me their residents were wonderful people. She advised me to leave my door ajar when cooking. I wasn’t surprised when later, someone tried to break into the apt. Subsequently, Anna became a nuisance. There were also tapping, thumping, thudding and punches on the bedroom wall at all hours. No bathroom safety mat was provided for the slippery shower floor. The bathroom’s sink was leaky. In the kitchen, the oven was dirty with grease, the faucet’s top was loose falling off each use. The dishwasher would come all the way to the front and then to the floor while I loaded it, hurting me. The frying pan had its non-sticking interior all scratched off; there was a crust of grease on the bottom. Both the living room and the bedroom lamps triggered the alarm for spying devices in them. While checking out, the elevator reeked of cigarette smoke. I do deserve a partial refund for this nightmarish stay.

Amazing! They're so helpful, kind, and friendly. They gave us a 2-bed room which were very clean without any issue. Everything was awesome! Wow! Thanks for such a great service and made our new year sweet!

On the day after my arrival, I had Ana, a staffer, come to my apartment. I told her I did not want or need housekeeping services, just a set of fresh bed linens, bath towels, kitchen towel and some supplies. Before she left, she advised me to leave the door ajar when cooking, so the fire alarm would not be triggered. Well, there is a large hood over the electric stove... Around 10:30 p.m., someone attempted to force the entrance door open, which I keep locked. I place door stoppers with light and sound alarms; those were triggered. The perpetrator left. Along with people slamming the door leading to the elevators, I was left with a very bad impression. The handle of the kitchen sink faucet is completely loose. So is the towel holder in the bathroom. The bottom board of the cabinet that holds the oven/stove and dishwasher fell to the floor. The dishwasher is also loose and comes all the way onto whoever opens its door; it is a health hazard. I am recording the issues mentioned here and I will send the video to the property owner/management. Sending anyone for repairs and/or maintenance while I am a guest is NOT acceptable to me. I should have been given an apartment in perfect living condition. There are three retail stores downstairs but they are overpriced. Their assortment and quality of products is lacking. Not to mention the characters that target you on the way from and to the hotel and also inside those stores. It doesn't feel one bit safe and it is unpleasant.

Didnt like the fact i had to pay 5 pounds to park didnt tell me thst wen i booked 🙃 the apartment its self is good the bed was awful as wass just 2 singles put on a king bed vwey uncomfortable and the pillows were like stone's

Great apartment but hard to find and unfortunately poor lady on the front desk couldnt speak enpugh English to understand what I was saying. Miscommunication from then on. Need a bigger sign and prior warning the car park shutter is closed untill you ring to say you are there. Checking in should be easy not time consuming. Apartment is super clean and its a real shame the checkin was so poor. Would give 5 stars if this was improved.

The place was spacious for our needs. It was worth the money, comfortable and had everything needed for a family of 4 to stay. The only thing is that the parking garage is completely unkempt. The windows to the place are dirty. It’s a high rise so understood that the window cleaners don’t come by too often but what would have been a beautiful view was tainted. Location is pretty good because you’ll be close to convenient stores and a bridge walk away from the restaurants and bars. There’s the river bank, which is not too flattering but the city has plenty of paved walkways along the river that is pretty nice. Overall a decent stay. The woman who works for the company was super nice, responsive and helpful. She let me borrow an iPhone charger!

Easy to reach from Station and easy check in. Apartment very good, clean and spacious with everything needed. Only thing I didn't like was two single beds masquerading as a double. As only one night I managed. Great views and everything I wanted

When we checked in we were told that my 15 year child would have to fit into a cot as that is what the hotel considered a child. My daughter had to sleep on the floor despite when booking the room having to give the age of my daughter
