Everything was good except for the carpet. I bought a home years ago and it had carpet flooring. I imediatelly changed it to ceramic. When the workers took the carpet out before instaling the ceramic it had a large amount of dust underneath the carpet. Carpets cannot be cleaned properlly despite vaccuing several times. They also allow for an array of dust mites and other insects to live on it and wander the room. Not only the room had carpet flooring but still it was dark carpet, making the room look like a cave. Sun shades also dark. So, breakfast good, staff very good, everything good but the carpet.

Great location across from the RhoneExpress which makes getting there from and to the airport very easy. The hotel has great soundproof windows so even though you are near the main train station, you do not hear any noise in your room. It's very close to the Westfield Part Dieu mall which has great shopping. The included breakfast was great with a wide variety of items including croissants, cheeses, and even chia seed pudding! I would recommend staying here.

The Rhonexpress Tram from the airport stops right at the front door. The Metro and SNCFstation are behind it. So transportation in and out was a breeze. Very comfy beds. Great breakfast. Lovely shower.

I had a 5:50 am train to catch. This was an excellent hotel for the train station Part 2. There are 4 IBIS hotels near the train station . This is the closest. I bought food at Carefour for dinner and there are several other shops for food.

The front desk staff was excellent. The very pleasant young woman who checked us in on Sat., 02/15/2025, assisted us in touring Lyon. She provided easy & accurate directions to all of our destinations. We also appreciated the entire front desk staff being able to speak English.

Very hospitable - went to wrong Ibis (there are 5 within spitting distance of each other and have a map for people like us). Our Ibis was in a tall building, overlooked the train station (may not be to everyone’s taste), they gave us a goodie bag on arrival and had the largest room we encountered on our trip, along with coffee in the room. Grateful for the hospitality.
