    I was only in Zagreb for one night and booked a single room for a bit of comfort. Worth saying upfront that a single night isn't much to go on — a longer stay might give a fairer picture — but here's what I found. It's adequate, and that's probably the most honest word for it. The room was average, the bathroom was tiny but functional, and I barely crossed paths with another guest the whole time. Reception was unstaffed for most of my stay, only appearing at checkout — fine for one night, but potentially frustrating if you needed anything. There's no real kitchen to speak of — just a kettle, a coffee machine, and a small bar fridge. That said, unlimited tea, coffee and fruit is a nice touch. The lounge area is large and comfortable enough to kick back in, though the TV and radio running constantly made it feel more like a waiting room than somewhere to actually relax. The location is the clear highlight — close to both the train and bus stations, with the city centre right on your doorstep. That part's hard to fault. My feeling is the dorms probably offer better value than the single room, which didn't quite justify itself. I wouldn't book a single here again, but as a no-fuss stopover base it does what it needs to. Good to know: no proper kitchen — kettle, coffee machine and bar fridge only. Unlimited tea, coffee and fruit included. TV and radio on constantly in the lounge. Reception not always staffed.

    The room, bathroom, common area and pantry all are super clean and well-kept. Feels like staying my own home away from home. Best is the location, less than 10mins walk to the main square, market, bars, restaurants and shopping. Will stay here again when I get the chance to visit Zagreb again.
