Room was comfortable and large enough. Everything about the space was fine, aside from another guest who didn't clean up after themselves in the bathroom.
For a cheap, safe place to stay - it's fine for the price. I will use it again in the future but only when traveling solo. I don't think my partner would have as much patience for a messy shared bathroom.

For our needs, STAY was great. It was affordable and walkable to The Salt Shed, our reason for visiting. Business-friendly seems like a stretch unless you’re working in a private room on your bed. Keep in mind that since the kitchen has quiet hours until 8a, you won’t be able to prepare food there beforehand if that’s when your work hours begin. Personally, I wouldn’t feel comfortable working more than sending a few emails as there’s no real dedicated space.

Shoutouts to the night receptionist who helped me the 16th of May. I booked the dormitory and someone had used my assigned bunk which sucked because it was 1 in the morning (this was not Stay 424’s fault). I called it in and within the hour I was rebooked to another accommodation.
Stay 424 has won my business for any future trips to Chicago on customer service alone. I think you’d struggle to find anywhere else where management has your back at 1 AM like that
