A charming stay in the heart of Lisbon. The Independente blends heritage character with a relaxed, social atmosphere that makes it ideal for travellers who value both comfort and community. We stayed in a six-bed dorm with shared bathrooms — everything was clean, well-kept, and thoughtfully maintained.
The breakfast was generous and great value for the price, and the staff were genuinely friendly and welcoming, always ready with local tips or a smile. With its beautiful building, excellent location overlooking the Miradouro, and a lively yet respectful vibe, it’s a place that makes you feel part of Lisbon rather than just visiting it.

Amazing views from the terrace room. Friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast was good but could have a wider range to choose from even though what was on offer was really good
