    What I liked: My stay at Hotel New Akao was very enjoyable and positive overall. All staff members were exceptionally friendly and helpful, which made the stay especially pleasant. I also really appreciated the membership program concept – as a member, you can enjoy various benefits that make the stay even more attractive. Overall, the hotel feels very well thought out and offers many small details that make the experience comfortable and special. What I didn’t like: There was nothing fundamentally negative. However, the outdoor bath in the “Saikai” public bath area was relatively small. When three to four people were already using it, it quickly felt a bit cramped. I also sometimes had the impression that groups in the indoor bath were waiting for spots in the outdoor area, which made it slightly difficult to fully relax and enjoy the outdoor bath in peace.

    Absolute bliss in this retro hotel gem. Stayed in a Horizon twin room. There were 3 public onsen baths and if you do not have time, just go directly to the Sparium Nishiki which would blow you away. The buffet dinner and breakfast were good. The French toast was done perfectly done and possibly the best I have eaten.

    Room was large. Onsen facilities were a bit lacking as the men's side did not have the cold plunge in the 2 nights that we stayed there. Breakfast and dinner buffets were average only. Overall, an outdated hotel. Staff were excellent and friendly.
