HOTEL & BEACH CLUB OJO DE AGUA

We stayed here for two nights. We we booked a “premium double room”. When we arrived they told us that they didn’t have the room but we could pay extra and get another??? We didn’t want to pay extra, so we got the room they had for us. It was so loud from both outside and the neighbours around. At night we were kept awake cause we could hear the neighbours fighting and other neighbours watching tv really loud. In the morning we woke up at 5 cause when someone else in the building took a shower it sounded like they were standing in our room! The service at the beach club was absolutely horrible. The first day we tried to order at the bar and were told that we couldn’t - but “our waiter” Laura would come to us, but she didn’t. We tried to get a hold of her and she was so unfriendly. Several times she told us we couldn’t use the sun beds because they were reserved (fair enough, but she didn’t tell us which ones we could use so we kept moving around until she stopped chasing us). The second day we were at the beach all day and Laura didn’t come to us once to ask us if we needed anything. We tried to ask one of the other waiters for some help, but they told us that Laura was the one we had to ask. Finally she came to our beds (we thought) BUT she only came to remove the umbrella because it was “too windy”. We asked if they had any free beds in the shade, but she didn’t want to answer that. It was honestly the most uncomfortable experience we have ever had at a hotel. NO service at all and so unfriendly staff (at the beach). The staff in the reception was nice. When we arrived we had to sign an agreement that said we had to pay a few thousand pesos if we stained the towels - but the hotel bracelet we had to wear ended up staining our clothes and we couldn’t get any compensation for that. I really cannot recommend this place. The location is beautiful, but the hotel is horrible. Worst stay in Mexico.
