Loved the modern feel of this older motel! Spacious and had a kitchenette! It is off a busy road, but evening more quiet. They do provide earplugs ands a noise canceling fan, but I didn’t need either! We would definitely stay again if passing through Eugene!

The room was newly remodeled and very clean. The only issue was that the glass pane shower door had slipped off one track wheel and left shards of glass when first opening/closing it. Luckily I saw them and didn’t step on them. It was fixed right away after I reported it - thank you! The hotel sits at the corner of a major arterial street and a freeway on ramp, so it was very nosy even with the air conditioner fan on high. Otherwise it met our purpose for the stay.

It was very clean and efficient, with everything we needed. My only complaint is the oddness of the hour when things seemed to be really busy in the middle of the night but by 4 in the morning it was as if no one had ever been there but us. Otherwise we loved it😁

The property was fine. The accommodation clean and inviting. I did not appreciate the added damage deposit asked for after the booking had been made. I appreciate this operators concerns for their property and the fact that there are unscrupulous people out there, however I'm not one of them. Asking for $100 damage deposit prior to my arrival, was to say the least, off putting. I have not nor will I ever damage a hotel/motel that I have ever stayed at. To ask for a damage deposit to be used at the venders discretion (which I did not provide) is, in my opion an open ticket to exact arbitrary and unnecessary fees. To say I was put off by this is an understatement. If I us this property as a lodging choice in the future will be determined at a later date. The property was chaming, well maintained and updated. But, I've got a real problem with their tactics. I felt insulted.

Very boutique feel to this property :) Didn’t realize when I booked it that it had no staff on site yet getting into our room was pretty stress free once I checked my email 😜 bed was very comfortable and room was very clean! Thoughtful touches like ear plugs were provided for sensitive sleepers ☺️ location was convenient for our trip !! Thank you to all staff who obviously love providing a great alternative to mainstream hotels 😘 would definitely stay here again !

Cute renovated boutique style motel. We had room 205. My only complaint is that we had no window, and it was the middle of a heat wave so the A/C wasn't the best. But it was clean, cute, service was amazing. I would stay again- different room.

The Local Motel is an older motel that was remodeled by someone with a very clever vision. It was very comfortable and included all the amenities (refrigerator, coffee maker, etc.). Though there is no one on site, I was able to arrange an early check-in by text message.

Incredibly clean and very cute and quaint. The owners have done a fantastic job. It’s just the area is unfortunately right on a major on-ramp so it is loud at times. Also some transients in the area due to the nearby park and underpasses. But felt safe and would stay again. Perhaps a front gate would help??

This was a great place to stay. Large adjacent parking lot to the room, quick and convenient access to nearby shopping and restaurants, room was spacious and the water pressure and heat of the shower was top notch. Highly recommended for travelers. Stayed for 4 days and 3 nights.

Very cute, comfortable rooms with Smart TVs. Self check in was very smooth and the vending machine shop is so cool! The only downside is it’s is extremely noisy - you can hear other rooms well and the street noise was very loud at night. They do provide ear plugs, though. Overall a great stay at a great price.

Absolutely fantastic location and price, and the facilities themselves are kept in great condition. The hotel is very good about communication, and while they don’t serve breakfast, they do have a really cool vending machine room (straight out of Japan) on the premises. Fantastic stay, would recommend for any traveling to Eugene.

The room is beautiful, bed is incredibly comfortable. The heat in the room did not work however I found a space heater and after a few hours the room warmed up. I did arrive after a snow storm so it was abnormally cold. The motel itself is very nice the grounds are clean and well kept however there is a very large homeless population in the area. I’m a single female traveling alone coming to and from my room late at night as I was there for a volleyball tournament. I was on high alert given some of the activity taking place near and around the motel. This would be my only reason for potentially not visiting this motel again alone. If my husband was traveling with me I would feel far more comfortable. I enjoyed the convenient check in process with no reception desk. The room had everything you could need, well decorated, clean and cozy. Only recommendation is to replace the heater and clean up the area which is beyond your control.

We were very pleasantly surprised with our stay at the Local Motel & Shops. The room was spacious, clean, and very welcoming. We were nervous that they offered both ear plugs and a white noise machine, but it was more for your comfort than need! We slept well, the place was quiet, and there's a super fun vending machine shop downstairs that we had a great time exploring. I already have a friend booking a room for an upcoming race! oh, and walking distance to our favorite pizza stop in Eugene- The Wheel Apizza Pub. 10/10!

One of the best stays. Super easy check-in. You get a code and room number, that's it. No lobby. No contact. I wish all hotels were like this. Everything in the room was beautiful. The whole style was modern and not one thing was left out. Even the microwave and fridge matched. Beautiful shower, toilet, sink, and fixtures. All the towels and soaps you could need for a long stay. The attention to detail was fantastic. You're next to the freeway, but as long as the cars don't have loud exhaust you don't hear it. Occasionally a motorcycle will go by and you hear it clearly. The train is far enough away that the horn is very faint. Not an issue at all. I really enjoyed this motel and I will be back next time I'm in Eugene.
