Casa Oxa Hotel

We just got back from a stay at OXA Hotel in Querétaro, and I can't recommend it highly enough. From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel like family - genuinely warm, attentive, and caring in a way that's rare to find anywhere, let alone at this price point. It wasn't the scripted "hospitality" you get at bigger chains; these are people who actually seem to enjoy taking care of guests, and it completely shaped our experience for the better. The rooms were spotless and clearly well cared for, and the little courtyard pool was such a lovely surprise — there's a gorgeous painted mural on the wall behind it that gives the whole space a real sense of character. Breakfast was another highlight: fresh fruit, yogurt, cereal, pastries, and good coffee, all included, which felt like such a generous touch given how reasonably priced the rooms already are. Location-wise, you really can't beat it. You're right in the heart of Centro, walking distance to everything, but also just a block from the local market for fresh produce and snacks. And if you're a beer person, do yourself a favor and walk a few doors down to the brewpub - incredible bar food and a beer selection that would hold its own against bars in much bigger cities. All in all, OXA Hotel stood out from every other place I've stayed, mainly because of how personal and caring it felt. If you're heading to Querétaro, this is the place to book.
