We had a wonderful time. The hotel and room all had a nice German /European vibe with an added historical value from owners and the many distinguished visitors. The room was nicely designed, the bed of a very soft and comfortable bed and a little balcony looking out to a stream.
Highlight the restaurant had excellent service and food. At night they had a small bar with live music. The hotel is on the central walkway close the gondola, shops, and other interesting sites and restaurants. With so many things to do within walking distance we never had to drive anywhere else.
Slight Cons: The only thing I wish they had was a refrigerator in the room. We were unable park at the hotel itself do to limited availability however, the public parking was only a short walk away. Which in many ways made it easier to get in and out due to the foot traffic in the area.

I have many find memories of this hotel. But it’s tired and worn. The carpet was crunchy and heavily dented with deodorizer. The hair dryer didn’t work. The on off knobs on the bedroom lamps over the beds were difficult to turn off. The lights in the bathroom flickered.
No air conditioning. If you open the patio door other guests can look into your room. The elevator was beat and there are a lot of stairs and no one to assist with luggage.
I left early.
I liked Pepe and Sheila. The place has gone way down hill. I am so sorry to give this review.
