Great breakfast, rooms are comfortable but we got trapped in our room the door handle broke and we couldn’t get out , they fixed the handle but the door would not lock , I didn’t feel safe

My wife and I arrived before check in time. And reception person send us to a waiting area mention that they will call us when room is ready. They never call us. Room was terrible. A very depressing place to stay. Terrible room and amenities.

A very pleasant stay. Clean room. Comfortable bed. Good breakfast. Pleasant lake view from the property. Highly recommend. Suggestion to property to clarify the hours when front desk is open, and only ask people to pre-arrange checkin if arriving outside of those hours. Registration fine print said to arrange checkin time 72 hours in advance. Communications received while trying to arrange this were unclear. Ultimately, we just showed up at the property around 1pm, hoping someone would be there. Indeed someone was there, and even let us checkin early since the room was ready, which was wonderful. Much appreciated! We enjoyed our stay.

The only thing I have to say did not meet my expectations and it was a huge downfall is internet, the 2 nights we stay we had no internet connection no cable or TV service, we kept asking and all we got is they had problems with connection (not a good answer, specially for the amount we paid for the villa). The property is in good shape and clean. Breakfast is good.

There was a minor issue with the room on the 1st night. The issue was quickly resolved by the management. It's a beautiful property. The stay was great. The offered breakfast was amazIng. The staff was very professional and helpful when needed.

Good location but has maintenance problems. One pool was being worked on, noisy jackhammers during the day. In the room the smell of sewer was so bad we left after two days even though we paid for three. I guess the three air fresheners should have been a clue. We were offered credit for the third night but I can't think of a reason to ever return.

It was our second visit.Everything was great . The 4 condition score just basically the roof looks like it might need maintenance..Interior was great,pool was great ,and the included breakfast was exceptional. The staff were wonderful. I would highly recommend it.

Wonderful stay again at villas ajijic..breakfast was perfect, cooked to order...pool was nice and warm, and quiet evenings...easy walk to some good restaurants..some friends didnt have hot water for 2 days but made due...front entrance is a bit weird if you arrive after 5 pm...better know some spanish....

Likes: friendly staff in breakfast! They took our orders and cooked wonderful Mexican breakfasts. Fresh fruits, coffee, and fresh juices available. Laundry service was wonderful. The pools were nice to swim in and had nice courtyards. Nice patio attached to room. Dislikes: shower drain plugged and always filled up while showering-yuck. Drawers would get stuck while opening. Very few electrical sockets but they worked. Two full size beds but rooms are small. The cable was very unclear- poor reception.

Breakfast was so yummy! There’s very little parking and did drive around a couple times before finding the front of the hotel…that was a little confusing! Would definitely stay here again. Staff was very accommodating, letting us check in much earlier.

The grounds are lovely and the rooms are currently being updated one at a time so I look forward to seeing the changes on future visits. The breakfast was first rate and the staff were helpful and friendly and the room we had was cute for a short stay of a day or two. The larger villas are better suited to longer stays.
