great beach views; lounges spacious and in art deco style; dining pleasant but pricey- not a great deal of menu choice; helpful and welcoming staff; car park notices a bit threatening but registering the car at reception overcomes this for guests; lack of local facilities but braughton and crowde within a shortish drive from the hotel.

Had a third floor, beach-facing, pool-view room with a balcony. Stunning setting on top of the cliff! The prices at Beachside Grill and in the hotel were quite high but this was to be expected given the location. Nice pool area and beautiful lawn terraces, very refreshing after a long day of hiking the coast path! Friendly, helpful, professional staff. Breakfast was fine. Only minor niggle was the bathroom. Overcomplicated shower so difficult to find the correct temperature and pressure! Only had one night stay, would love to have stayed longer to make full use of the spa and wellness facilities and the beach.

Hotel is in a fabulous position and has recently undergone refurbishment in the main areas. Bedrooms and bathrooms are older in style. Supper menu is great in main restaurant but you do have to book. Mornings the same - need to book but breakfast range is limited and same every day.

A beautiful setting with everything you could possibly need. Comfortable beds, friendly staff, clean room with good amenities. I also had a stunning beach view. Nothing was too much trouble. They even catered for my Gluten sensitivity. The food at Breakfast and dinner was absolutely delicious. My massage was heavenly also. The only think I didn’t like was the fact I had to leave such a wonderful place!

Our room was small but clean and had everything we needed. We enjoyed a bottle of wine which was reasonably priced and the fish and chips were delightful. Our evening meal was also delicious and so nice not to be rushed. All staff were very helpful and friendly, we only stayed one night but would certainly recommend.

The saunton sands hotel is fantastic. the only issue i has is that i could only afford to book a single room for the week and when i got there they were kind enough to upgrade me for free to a double room, the room its self for £795 for 4 nights in March i thought was a little underwhelming. Everything else about the hotel was fantastic, service was great and the spa/pool were lovely

Amazing views from a very comfortable sea view room. Lovely big bed which was so comfortable. The hotel is beautifully decorated with a gorgeous garden and position over the bay. The only disappointing aspect for me was the staff who, although very professional, were quite stand-offish!

This is a beautifully situated hotel with great views over the beach and coast. The service levels are exceptional and staff go out of their way to be friendly and helpful. The communal rooms are well presented as are the adjoining gardens and play areas. This is an ideal hotel for both couples and families

The location of the hotel is amazing for sure... however it does need some refurbishment especially in the room we had....It needs Air Conditioning in the hot weather The Bingo game was fun and a nice option - a quiz night might be good too.

I travel a lot with work and also to take part in endurance events and I stayed in this hotel to take part in North Devon marathon on Sunday. I was impressed with everything about this hotel, the service from all staff was above and beyond what I was expecting, I used the Spa facility and loved the Jacuzzi overlooking the Sea and beach, the service at both Dinner and Breakfast were exceptional and the beach area nearby was lovely.

Arrived late to a great welcome by the gent on reception. That member of staff set the tone to a great experience. Good facilities, good food and nothing was to much trouble.
