Ramada by Wyndham Hong Kong Grand View

The rooms are way larger than the Ramada at TST and SYP so it felt more homey went you walked into the room. The lobby was very courteous. There is also a sink in the room but no stove or anything like that as cooking is not allowed under law based on what i read. There is a wet market right outside the hotel on the block. The MTR is 2-3 blocks away which makes it very convenient. The seaside harbor and the mall is also 2-3 blocks away. There are restaurants conveniently located not far away. North Point is somewhat quiet with little night life. Causeway Bay and Wan Chai is 30-45 minute walk if you want to take some strolls. Victoria Park is on the way if you do decide to explore the neighborhood.

Positive on easy assess to restaurants & shops, negative on vicinity to wet market. Walking from metro with luggage to hotel through the market with livestock smell & wet ground was not pleasant. Because of nearby market & age of hotel, there’s an odd stale scent in the room air. Did not even provide hand towels, only two limpy fiber bath towels. No complimentary bottled water. Tissue was in a box but it was a roll of toilet paper. Very limited electrical outlet. We had to use water boil on floor. This hotel probably had its golden year 3 or 4 decades ago.

The room needed to be cleaned again I killed a doach the very first day I checked in other than the room and property was decreasing for the price and in a good location walking distance fist to a lot of restaurants and shopping

Other guests were noisy. Rooms were not well insulated from Ballantine and people arguing in the room next door at 2am. Bed was hard and there was no comfortable chair to sit in so only desk chair or bed. Lifts were slow and often overcrowded. Pool was closed. Area around hotel was good but late at night there were “working girls” about so I felt unsafe late at night but during evening and day it is very safe.
