The hotel is doable for one night and proximity to campus very good. But the condition of the hotel is beat up, that’s no reflection on the new owners. The hotel was neglected long before they arrived to take it over. But the rooms were clean and the staff was friendly.

Staff lacked spirit of hospitality. They questioned why we needed extra towels after a no maid service day. Bathroom moulding, walls, and bathtub in poor repair (#135). Each morning somebody knocked on our door early despite having the no disturb sign displayed. The clincher was the knock to find out why we were still in the room past checkout time, when we still had 2 nights left on the reservation. No apology offered. The fitness room was "under renovation." No elevator available. Vending machines out of order. It was obvious an entire family and extended family live at the hotel. We were made to feel like trespassers in their space that they had to begrudgingly house us in.

Terrible experience. Dirty towels. Dirty sheets. Busted door lock. Generally run down and seedy. We were booked for two nights. Did not stay the second night. Had to book another hotel in addition to paying the second night at this one. The move was worth the added (considerable) expense. We did not feel safe staying here.

Checked into the room, room door was cracked around lock. found pubic hair on the toilet, cracks in the bathroom wall. Stains in the bed, puddle of water under AC unit. Went to the front desk to request a refund and got told to f*ck off. Left the property without a refund

Lots of small problems with the room. Oddest one; when we tried to follow the instructions to call the front desk to get the Internet password, the room phone had no dial tone because it had no cord to connect it to the phone jack. Also the desk chair was missing one of its five roller wheels (not broken - missing entirely), the tub had rust stains, the room darkening shade didn't fully cover the window so a lot of light leaked in (a problem when the window faces I-90), the toilet was not firmly affixed to the floor so it rattled when you sat on it (though it worked fine, no leak). Lots of minor stuff that didn't make it hard to stay there but how did all of this go unattended? Nonetheless, for the price we were paying, we did feel like we got our money's worth. This was supposed to be get off the highway, sleep, quick breakfast, and get back on the road, and we got that.
