Clean room beautiful hotel overall. Hotel staff were very attentive and friendly. David at front desk went above and beyond to accommodate our stay. Danika was also another awesome front desk employee that helped us. I loved the day we didn’t have to pay for vallet parking. Huge casino lots of fun perks. Delicious restaurants every corner of casino. We had a blast and look forward to coming back soon! This made my birthday weekend unforgettable.

I stayed at the Ameristar East Chicago for 21 nights over 11 stays in fall 2025, travelling for business. It doesn't have everything (breakfast) and is in an odd location. But it was half or less than hotels in Hyde Park, had free parking, big rooms, was always clean and quiet, and the front desk staff was awesome. Shout out to Danica, who was not only a joy but who directed me to the rooms with the best wifi.

No was checked into a room that wasnt cleaned after previous guest left trash was everywhere and bed was dirty . Then was moved to another room with a dirty bathtub...

We had to wait over a hour along with others because their system had issues with our reservations from a 3rd party. The 1st room they gave us was not vacuumed and the tables had food stains on them. The 2nd room smelled like the sewer. Room# 3 was nice but dam it took you 3 tries. Very disappointing because this is my guests favorite hotel!

Rooms are very spacious. Bathrooms are as well. Bathroom has a seperate shower and tub which is nice for the wife to soak in while I shower. I have stayed here 4 or 5 times now and every room has been consistent. Clean, well serviced and maintained

The room looked nice, but it had a smell of odor in there that come every so often and it smelled real bad in the bathroom in a little hallway floor was real slippery like you could’ve fell and hurt yourself and I was there four days and I didn’t know you had to call to get your room did so I found that out on my last day so that’s why I put OK

The hotel was nice and clean. It seemed typical as far an its niceness as a casino. The hotel exceeded my expectations. The casino underwhelmed me as it was Smokey and pretty smelly. I guess I am used to non smoking casinos so I probably won’t go back. If you are just looking for a place to lay your head for the night, this was a great value.
