Cottage Yushin

Excellent view of Mt. Fuji. The owner is very nice, speaks good English, picked us up from the station for free, and gave us wonderful recommendations around the area, also responsive to texts. They also upgraded our room to a 1 whole house to ourselves, very clean and fully furnished. If you want a quieter and relaxing area with a great view of Mt Fuji, this is the one!

We absolutely loved our stay at Cottage Yushin and would recommend that anyone staying at/around Lake Kawaguchi stay here as this side of the lake was very quiet and not nearly as crowded as the other side near Kawaguchi Station (the side where Mt Fuji is). We had a breathtaking view of Mt Fuji from the main room of our cottage and although the bath on the first floor did not share that view (trees are in the way), the bath is phenomenal and we definitely took advantage of the big tub and its water heating abilities. However, the only reason we didn't give 5-stars was because the space desperately needs some sound proofing. We had two sets of upstairs neighbors during our stay there so I know it wasn't just that our specific neighbors were loud or stomping around, the floor/ceiling is just absolutely not sound proofed at all and it really took away from the charm of this lodging for us.

Spacious and clean whole apartment. Excellent view of Mount Fuji. Very close to lake, just a few mins walk away. Very friendly and helpful host. Lets us park at the property after checkout so we can visit places nearby.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Lots of parking and a great view of Mount Fuji (san). Good location for everything in the area such as the Ropeway, Fuji-Q and lots of restaurants
