Friendly welcome, pleasant staff. Check in was seamless. Arranged us a nice table in the restaurant and as it was a birthday celebration, a free main and dessert. Room decor was nice as was the bathroom. The outlook was a bit dismal ie brick wall but we were only in there to sleep for one night. Location was great, very central for everything. Breakfast was ok.

The hotel is charming, and the staff were extremely polite and helpful. Parking spaces are limited, but thankfully we were able to park. It's well located for shopping on the High Street, or for the short riverside walk.]
Our room was the classic double, which was bijou, and perfectly adequate.
The restaurant offering was good.

AMAZING staff, lovely building, generally a lovely start. Outside area was a bit grotty though with sticky tables, napkins and cigarette butts on the floor.
