Quiet easy parking local to job

Room was a double room! Very dated! Not the cleanest either, couple huge cobwebs in the corners, back of TV dusty and didn't work! One over bed light didn't work! Bathrooms was communal shared half way down a landing which we knew and ok with! However the showers wasn't clean so didn't use them, the bed was clean and not to bad comfort wise I like a hard mattress, the bedroom area was along a long corridor looked gloomy carpets worn, the breakfast was ok toast jams couple pastry's cereal drinks cheese ham, no pics on wall in rooms etc sink in room didn't feel welcoming at all.

Everything was excellent apart from the wifi not working in my room. The staff member tried to rectify the problem but without success. I was able to access the wifi in the bar/dining area. I will be booking again in the near future

Very nice room and staff. The pub is very quiet and the food is good especially the burger, first class!

No en-suite rooms needs updating way behind the times. Smells of weed on the corridor upstairs. Won’t be stopping there again.

The Raven is a reasonably priced hotel with reasonable service. I would stay here again.

We booked a one night stay as we were travelling to a festival and didn't want to do a three and a half hour drive then pitch a tent. We arrived a little before 8 I believe. We went in to the bar, checked in and then ordered food. The bar was lovely, modern, great food friendly service. (Food service closed earlier than the 9pm advertised so we had to order immediately on arrival.) We booked a twin with shared bathroom, I wouldn't normally book a shared bathroom, but all the pictured indicated that they were modern, well decorated verging on luxurious looking and the rooms looked cosy and welcoming. I was quickly left realising I couldn't be more wrong. Nobody told us where the shared bathrooms were and there was absolutely no information in the room about....well....anything at all. So had to go back down to the bar to ask. The room was really quite bare and felt austere, quite aged looking It had a picture behind the beds and a couple of mirrors but that was it and it was soulless. The curtains looked thin and to be honest I was afraid to close them for fear of breaking them...not that they'd have blocked any light out. There was a kettle and tea/coffee and mugs, there were no glasses for water though, couldn't see a hairdryer or other "extras". A new soap by the sink and a small hand towel size towel provided for two plus one by the sink. One shower was put of order, other two and W/C were littered and not clean. TV only had BBC1 Bed was terrible, springs and no padding

Ample free parking. friendly and helpfull staff. outdoor picnic area reasonable food menu well done, Raven Crew. Hope to be back next summer.
