    There is no standards for hygiene at this property. We found spongy moth eggs under the cups, yellow stains with a weird smell on the sheets, and moldy furniture on the patio. What's worse, there were ants. Everywhere. The waterfront sand area might as well be a giant ant farm unusable teeming with fire ants. Outside of the pool area, it's impossible to relax because ants are crawling on every surface, be it the ground or tables. Some insects here and there are normal for this part of Southeast Asia, but you should not have ants crawling all over your shoes and food 30 seconds after sitting down. There is also no consideration at all for the guests. We were woken up at 7AM by the staff cutting palm leaves and coconuts off the tree next door to us landing in our yard. What was supposed to be a relaxing 2 day vacation ended up being a nightmare we couldn't wait to go home and escape. Only redeeming part of this experience was the fried banana served at their Chocolate Hour event and the Movenpick ice cream they sell, those were nice but not worth everything else. We supposedly stayed at the waterfront villa which is the "nicest" option on site and all we found was an unmaintained, old, falling apart pair of rooms infested with insects. Do not recommend, please stay far, far away from this place.

    Overall, the stay was okay, but the hotel would benefit from some upgrades. The room and parts of the hotel compound are quite old, and there are visible signs of deterioration in the wooden structures. The property would greatly benefit from refurbishment and better maintenance. On the last night of my stay, I heard what sounded like a rat moving near the air-conditioning grille in the room. I called the reception to report the issue, but no one came after I waited for about 15 minutes. I called again to cancel the complaint since it was already late at night. The staff then offered to upgrade my room, but I declined because I did not want to move rooms so late. Overall, the experience was acceptable, but the condition of the room and surrounding areas needs improvement. Upgrading and maintaining the facilities would make the stay much more comfortable.

    I stayed in a Private Pool Villa for 3 days and 2 nights. The villa was spacious, well-designed, and thoughtfully divided into separate living areas. Amenities and in-room facilities were quite comprehensive, making the stay comfortable overall. However, the property is showing its age and appears to lack proper maintenance. On the second day, there was an electrical issue that required a technician to come and fix it, and some power outlets in the room were not functioning properly. The private pool is located beneath several trees, which provides a pleasant, shaded atmosphere. However, leaves, pollen, and other debris frequently fell into the water, making the pool appear less clean than expected. The most disappointing aspect of the stay was the service, especially considering this is marketed as a five-star hotel. We had to call four times just to request two bottles of water, and it took nearly two hours for a buggy to arrive and pick us up for checkout. What made the situation even more disappointing was that, upon checkout, there was no acknowledgment of the delay or apology for the inconvenience caused by the long wait. While the villa itself offers generous space and a relaxing environment, the maintenance issues and inconsistent service significantly affected the overall experience. With better upkeep and a stronger focus on guest service, the resort could offer a much more enjoyable stay.
