Dirty , old,smelly hotel .in the worst part of town.nowhere to park unless you want your car broken into on the street.I refused to stay there an they would not refund my money.do yourself a favour and stay away from this place and this area.I will be filing a complaint with Expedia and with my visa .this place is grossly misseepresented.I will post a update when this is resolved.unhappy traveller .

It was very quiet in the hotel. Not many guests for a saturday. But it was clean enough.

Ease to transportation is amazing! Right across from the train station. The breakfasts were very good and staff was very friendly. No onsite parking. There is a parking garage 1/4 mile down the road. We had no issues with the walk and actually enjoyed them to get to the car. When you first see the building you appreciate the history. However there were people sitting and smoking on the step to get in and they didn’t move when we tried to get in with our bags. The carpet is stained in the main hall by the reception area and really set a bad first impression. However the rooms are very clean. We arrived and there is a night club on the main level that was under our room. It went until 5am. When you shut the windows it does help reduce the noise. But there is no ac. So you need to pick and choose do you want to be cool or listen to the club on the weekend. Thankful this wasn’t our first night in Germany. I can’t imagine having jet lag being up for 25 hours then not being able to sleep at all that first night. If you’re looking for a quick over mightier with access to amazing transportation this is the place. If your stay is longer then I would look for a quieter street (we enjoyed the open windows) or a place with AC.

Everything ok, only the bread buns at breakfast are to soft and not crispy, not well baked. The rest of the breakfast very good.

The place is a good (but not great stay) for the price. Recently renovated but some aspects need work. Ventilation is poor in our bathroom (no windows left it musty smelling). Some staff was unfriendly.

We picked the hotel because of its excellent location across from the train station. At first we we highly irritated by the malfunctioning elevator and shabby entrance, but then found the rooms to be lovely, modern and clean and also enjoyed the breakfast in the breakfast area the next morning. The second impression is so much better than the first.

The entrance was strange, there are many oddly set up doors that you must squeeze through with your luggage while you try to find reception. The stairwell and hallways were dirty, with stained carpet and general updates needed. The room itself was bright with high ceilings and big windows. Would have almost made up for the bad first impression - but unfortunately it was not clean. The floors showed many visible spots and dirt, definitely in need of a mop. The bathroom was also not well cleaned and the towels were stained. The bed was surprisingly comfortable and seemed clean. However, the hotel is surrounded by very loud bars and we were subjected to extremely loud music well into the night. I slept with headphones on in order to help block out the noise. At some point in the night I awoke to guests in the hotel shouting and slamming doors. As the hotel is not staffed through the night, there was no one to report this to, and the disturbance continued for about an hour. In the morning, the cleaning staff burst into the room without knocking or saying anything, and didn’t apologise when they saw the room was still occupied. Breakfast was ok, but I lost my appetite when I had to sort through several dirty or greasy plates in order to find a clean one.

Personnel is only available late in the evening and don’t speak English, in the breakfast room there was rat poison hidden behind the window curtains, and on top of everything someone in the personnel must have stolen my TUMI accessory bag because it suddenly disappeared. When confronting them with this, no one seemed to care. Strongly advise to avoid staying here.

Recently refurbished hotel opposite station. Very comfortable and quiet when window closed. Only thing missing was towel hooks in the bathroom.

Okay for sleeping. No frills. Basic. Not as ‘rough’ (English similar sounding word) as the hotel is named and other visitors have claimed. Nice chap at reception. Would stay again as reasonable priced.
