Dormy Inn is a great base for foreigners looking to explore Izumo. It’s located right next to the JR station so easy to access, with 7/11 close by. The rooms are small and simple, but the main perks are the onsen, sauna and massage chairs! They also offer free ramen at night and free amenities on ground floor (eg razor, toothbrush, coffee, water)

The Breakfast was really nice, but I couldn't relax and really enjoy because that particular day it was crowded and as if everybody in the hotel went to eat at the same time.

It was the first time for me to stay in Dormy Inn, a renowned chain hotel in Japan. Its location immediately next to Izumoshi JR Station was very convenient, and the room offered a great view overlooking the town. The breakfast and nighttime ramen were very well-received, and I loved how they promoted local ingredients and specialties during breakfast. The salad dressing they recommended from Izumo was indeed delicious and I made a point to grab two bottles to bring home.
The room was very well-maintained and I appreciated the separate living and washing areas of the room.
