We traveled as a group of 11 for our sorority sister reunion/girls’ trip (MLK Weekend) and chose The Alida mostly for the location and the value. We were not disappointed!
The rooms were lovely, well appointed and CLEAN! The property not only offers a daily happy hour at the front desk with complimentary wine and cookies every day from 3-5 pm, but also includes a $32 food/beverage credit per room to use in the lobby bar every night of your stay. We took advantage of both amenities! In addition, they supply you with a reusable water bottle that can be refilled at the beautiful water filling stations on every floor.
The staff was pleasant and accommodating. The location was the perfect location to on the riverfront and was a quick walk to pretty much anywhere in the historic district. We ate at Rhett for breakfast one morning and it was good. Highly recommend!!

I reserved this hotel as a bit of a splurge while we were in town for a wedding. I have to honestly say that I don't think it was worth the money. The room was fine, but nothing spectacular. The hours for the bar and restaurants within the hotel were limited and not terribly convenient. The layout of the hotel was a little odd when trying to get to the pool and gym. And, not the fault of the hotel necessarily, but other guests were pretty rowdy late into the night. If you get an exceptional sale price, it might be worth the location, but I didn't feel like I got my money's worth from our stay.
