The building itself, was beautiful! The rooms were nice comfy & cozy. The walls are pretty thick we didn’t hear much @ all. Staff was helpful with anything we asked. We were on the the 8th floor & loved having the breakfast buffet on the floor along with the snacks they served from 6-7 we really enjoyed our stay & plan on staying again.

The property is beautiful and clean. The person who checked us in was very welcoming and the customer service was great. The food also was really good.

It was very nice. Loved the lobby area. Nice vibe.

The view was beautiful.

Clean and comfortable room. So relaxing seeing the water from the window. My only complaint was how loud it is when people close their doors. The housekeeping staff kept letting doors bang and I was trying to rest after a horrible flight.

The staff was very helpful The pool in the hot tub or very clean I have no complaints and will definitely stay again if I'm in the area.

I paid for parking and can't find the Expedia confirmation and the hotel does not have anything saying that I paid

Rooms and entire facility were very clean. Staff was polite and food was all good.

The hotel itself was nice (a little dated, but nice). Would I pay that rate to stay there again? No. The area around the hotel was surrounded by a bunch of loitering men, cars driving by blaring music, and had an aura of sketch. It's a real shame because the lighthouse area seemed so perfect for a family-friendly outing. Felt like I had to look over my shoulder the whole time I was outside.

Good beautiful place to stay

Everything was great, front desk is pretty slow took 28 min to check in with a line of 7 people but other than that excellent place!

The hotel has beautiful views of the bay and marina. The amount of restaurants within walking distance was fantastic.

The room was fine—clean and updated. We had our pets with us and were disappointed that there was literally no where for them to go to the bathroom anywhere around the hotel. But the main disappointment for us was the noise above our room. We were on the 7th floor and apparently there is a nightclub on the 8th floor. There was no noise insulation between our room and the club. We heard every time a chair scrapped across the floor. This noise went on past 1am. We called twice to the front desk and first they did not explain that there was a club above. They just said they would look into the noise. The second time I called—at 12am—they explained there was a “lounge and club” on the 8th floor and we would just have to deal with it. It would have been helpful to know that the first time we called down. The young woman at the front desk was unapologetic and unsympathetic that we could not sleep. I am very surprised to receive this lack of service from a Marriott property. We will not be back.

Clean room

Hotels website & Sheraton Erie website gave the option in a package to have a 2 hour FREE late check out. This is the option that we selected to make out reservation. I should have mentioned this at check-in , however a tour bus was also checking in making for a busy & a lengthy check-in line. Check-in staff was kind but it waws obvious they were a bit overwhelmed. I called to the front desk later to inquire about the time of late check out explaining this was what was offered. Devin was unaware of any late check out option from either Hotels website or Sheraton website and would only honor this if we showed him where this was written - so we did. He was still reluctant to honor this, stating " as a 1x courtesy I'll honor the 2 hour late check out, it's normally $20 / hour" We understand that verification was needed being that he was unaware of late check out as an option with our booking. What we don't understand was the annoyance and perturbed tone he took - this was shocking, especially when he was incorrect & misinformed. As if he was doing us a favor to honor what is clearly written on both websites. Poorly handled. Hotel was very nice, updated, and clean.

Basically everything went as it should. One thing did stand out. The bay view was beautiful but the windows were dirty and that was not right.

Construction was a mess. Main issue is that I booked a king bed room with bay view. What we got was two smaller beds with a terrible view of some panels on the roof. The excuse was that there were two groups there so we got bumped off what we requested. Don’t know that I would stay again.

The front desk, lounge and restaurant staff were extremely nice and accommodating.

Good standard of hotel plenty of food options fantastic views over Lake Erie just one complaint 16 bucks a day to park your car

Everyone was very find and helped us with every need. I will return to the Sheraton in Erie!!!

We upgraded our room for a water view, and it was worth every single penny! Beautiful views, friendly staff and walkable to all of the areas we wanted to see on the waterfront. The breakfast in the morning was very generous in the portions. I had the bacon egg and cheddar sandwich, which was huge! Highly recommend this hotel love it we’ll go back!

My husband and I needed to stay close to our son who was in the NICU. There was a false alarm that occurred on the property in the early morning hours of 9/2. This required our family to walk down six flights of stairs. I was recovering from a c-section and found it very inconvenient and unsafe to stay longer. Our family immediately packed up our belongings and checked out once the fire department cleared the building.

I paid for a marina view. That same day, I ended up adding a room and asked that we be near each other. Without warning, the front desk girl gave us rooms next to each other but with a view of a complete wall of air conditioning unit. I asked for some kind of compensation considering i paid for a marina view and she just kept saying "well you are on the side of the marina," ah yes, with ZERO view of the actual marina!!! She was not helpful at all!! We had already gotten situated and it would have been too stressful for my large family to move at that point. She should have said that she could put us together, but with a view of a complete WALL!! VERY INCONSIDERATE.
