    Incredible value for money - right next to the train station and bus station, easy to go everywhere. Plenty of izakaya and convenient stores around, and simple but really hearty breakfast!

    Pros: - Good location, very near JR Yamagata Station - Good breakfast Cons: - There’s a split type air conditioner in the room. However, it is centrally set to heating during the winter, which means the room is really hot. They told us to open the window to let the air in - which caused us to have a cold the next day since it’s very cold outside. - Limited amenities - There is one staff which was kind of rude. We are intending to send our luggage from Yamagata to Tokyo since we wanted to be luggage free while exploring Yamagata. We asked the male staff when can we expect to receive the luggages in Tokyo and if there will be delays due to the snow. The staff couldn’t understand us and he just said “sorry, I don’t know” and then he walked away and went on to assist another guest. I guess it was kind of unexpected since usually, hotel staffs are really helpful and would immediately make an effort to grab a translator if he/she doesn’t understand us in order to assist us. Though it might have been partly our fault since maybe we should have used a translator right away but still, we thought it was really an unexpected behavior from a staff. Overall, it was a good stay.
