Lovely, comfortable hotel in a great location at a reasonable price. Took away a star because of the small, overcrowded pool area and mediocre restaurant, where we had an expensive, buffet breakfast that left much to be desired in terms of service and a passable lunch.

My family and I made reservations to stay here for 5 nights last week. We were driving to Marseille from Barcelona (5+ hour drive). At the time, unknown to us, there were fires happening on the route to Marseille (which neither the hotel nor Expedia warned us about). As a result, on our drive in, police told us to turn around and go back as it was not safe to drive to Marseille. We drove back to Barcelona and were forced to book a night there at a random hotel, losing our first night at Radisson Blu. The next day, before attempting to drive to Marseille again, we called Radisson Blu (useless call center) and emailed them to find out if it was okay to come. No one responded to our email or called back. We drove there anyway to avoid forfeiting our reservation and have nowhere else to stay while in another country. We finally made it to Marseille, only to find out the fire was now IN Marseille and the MRS airport was closed (which we needed to fly out of at the end of our stay). We stayed one night at the hotel and checked out the next morning because the air quality was so bad. We changed our flight to an earlier flight heading out of Nice airport and booked new stay in Nice. We explained this to hotel management and asked for a refund for the 4 nights we paid for and did not get to use. They said since the booking was made with Expedia, we need to contact them. Of course, Expedia pointed the finger at the hotel and said they need to approve the refund, which they did not.

Katia was very helpful at check-in and throughout our stay, especially with laundry. Jovanna found me at breakfast. After numerous days on a cruise ship, I could not face the thought of scrambled eggs another day. Jovanna was able to convince the chef to make me a wonderful fluffy omelette with ham and cheese. It was delightful. So were the others. These two individuals distinguished themselves and exhibited the highest standards of the Raddison brand: service, knowledge and communication. We initially were concerned about security in the hotel. We later observed several security measures in place which alleviated our concerns. Coffee selections were amazing. Inside room overlooking the courtyard was very quiet.

The property does not have a heated pool as advertised. The parking is very expensive and they charge you an extra fee to park. The rooms are clean and the staff is very friendly and professional.

Very nice staff although they couldn’t help me get on their Wi-Fi. Room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The hallway to our room was littered with room service items that didn’t get cleaned up until about 5 PM. But otherwise very nice and reasonably priced. Great walking in the area.

The first junior suite I was shown had the life shaft directly behind the bed. The second where I stayed the night was over the reception with music playing from 7.30. I thought I had woken up in a night club. The 3rd had no heating and the tv didn’t work. I stayed a night and then was moved to the 4th room where someone had clearly been sick and it had a specialist carpet treatment. Because although the carpet was wet - it still smelt of sick. Wasn’t worth the money at all. I asked the guy behind reception if he knew of a hotel with a spa nearby. He said No. I asked for room service the first night and he said you are best to come the bar because it will be an hour. There wasn’t enough staff. I would never stay in a Radisson again. A problem in every room and no one cares. This is only the 2nd time in my life I have asked to change rooms.
